Number of 'top' surgeries performed on trans children has risen 13-FOLD in last decade — with girls as young as 12 getting irreversible ops

Researchers looked at the number of mastectomies — sometimes called 'top surgery' — performed on girls under 18 at a major health system in California since 2013.

Results showed children as young as 12 were offered irreversible operations between 2013 and 2020. The overall incidence of mastectomies among minors rose from 3.7 per 100,000 persons-years to 47.7 per 100,000 in that time.

Bankman-Fried, Ellison tap attorneys as FTX probes ramp up

NEW YORK, Dec 6 (Reuters) - FTX founder and former chief executive Sam Bankman-Fried and Caroline Ellison, head of its now-defunct trading affiliate, have tapped defense attorneys as U.S. authorities probe the crypto exchange's collapse, according to a spokesperson for Bankman-Fried and a source familiar with Ellison's selection.

Bankman-Fried has retained Mark S. Cohen, of Cohen & Gresser, Bankman-Fried's spokesperson Mark Botnick said in an emailed statement. Cohen could not be reached for comment.
