I think Elon's point in his reply is just that if journalists (like the one whose piece he's responding to) are looking to find signs that he's a right-wing monster, they'll find those signs whether they're there or not. The meme is just a metaphor for media's observational bias.

You must have watched the Kid Buu vid. where he is talking about that.

Jesus used the cross to conquer Satan.

It is a symbol of defeat and why vampires cringe when they see it.

So it is an appropriate symbol for Christians to use.

Catholics use the crucifix with a dead Jesus figure on it.

Protestants use just a plain cross.

Kid Buu is not a Christian, so he is not the person that you want to listen to when it comes to Christianity.

Christians don't worship the cross. It is just a reminder.
