My medical board was the most humiliating/demoralizing thing I had ever been through. In the end, my medical issue was so well documented it highlighted their complete failure as doctors. They threatened me behind closed doors to my face to say nothing or they'd toss me out without a rating, compensation or retirement. I talked to legal and the IG, both said their was no legal avenue to stop them.
Literally broke my damn back and was discharged as 'Somatization' because the Air Force was pissed they hadn't gotten rid of me after being med boarded for 2 years. To the VA's credit, they disagreed with the diagnosis and protested on my behalf in writing but were ignored.
