MISSION, TX: "United States Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection Border Patrol Agent Raul Humberto Gonzalez died in the line of duty on Dec. 7 while chasing a group of illegal immigrants near the U.S. border with Mexico. Agent Gonzalez, 38, was traveling on an all-terrain vehicle at a high rate of speed while pursuing a group of suspects who illegally crossed into the United States from Mexico when he slammed into a large metal gate on Schuerbach Road, KURV reported. No details regarding the individuals he was pursuing were immediately released, and it is unclear if they were apprehended. Agent Gonzalez was the sixth USBP agent to die in the line of duty this year, according to the New York Post."
