short of it is this:

if anyone claims fusion demand the Q value. if the Q value isnt published, nothing happened. Q = 1 means energy cost of maintaining fusion = usable energy output.

a Q value must be a minimum of 5 or its a waste of time. the ITER is meant to do a Q value of 10.

the other thing here is that this LLNL stunt was for 100 picoseconds (trillionths of a second). call me when the fusion power can be run for days, weeks, months, years.

and the answer - fission , molten salt, LFTR, GEN IV , thorium, etc - already exists for decades and basically burns off its own wastes leaving nothing to be stored after fission - but you got so fucking kiked and jewed you all want to burn coal instead of sit around on free fission power.
