The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed new rules on Friday that would restrict the use of refrigerators, air conditioning equipment and heat pumps that utilize hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs). The EPA’s proposed rule would crack down on the manufacturing and importing of goods containing HFCs, which would restrict the use of HFCs in refrigeration units, air conditioning systems and heat pump equipment starting in 2025, according to an agency press release. In accordance with the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol, a global climate treaty that the Senate ratified in September, the agency intends to reduce the production and consumption of HFCs by 85% by 2036. “With this latest proposal

Elon Musk’s “Twitter Files” part 5 was released by Bari Weiss on Monday. Part 5 of the release includes part 3 of the internal discussions on the day President Trump was permanently banned from Twitter on January 8, 2021. According to the files released on Monday, Trump was banned from the platform even though Twitter execs privately concluded Trump never violated any of the policies. However, Twitter employees were hell bent on deplatforming Trump anyway.
