Reminds me of when the military archives warehouse burned down, destroying the records of George Bush's National Guard attendance/nonattendance, at just the right time to prevent them from becoming public during a presidential campaign.

What's 'funny' is that after posting, I was thinking, "What if they KEPT the evidence? What if the people sent to set the fire/destroy the evidence, first TOOK the incriminating evidence for themselves, and then burned-down the place?

Now they have control over Bush. Bush escaped from the immediate ramifications and "won" that crazy 2000 election. But now those records are actually like gold: they can be used to blackmail Bush and keep him in line.

So actually not really 'funny' at all.
