Traditional satellite internet sucks because theyre using satellites too far out in orbit. The latency on these are unsuitable for anything more than web surfing or email simply because of the speed of light. Musk's new satellites however are in a very low orbit and are subject to decay and reentry after a long enough time, but the latency is very good.
