I was working for a law firm years ago and saw a case come through where a woman was suing her church because she fell down the church steps.
As a Christian, I was astounded by this. But people pointed out that she was actually suing the church's insurance company, not the church. I guess she had some medical expenses that she wanted covered. IDK, but I have to wonder about someone who sues their church.
But then there are all of those law suits against the Priests who sexually abused the children, so in that case I'm wondering if it would be ok.
But insurance companies, imo, are generally evil and corrupt anyways. So to say that the insurance company is being sued, not the church, seems like a cop out, finding a loophole.
