Sure some brag/promote their 'colour/flavour' but in the main people go into polling station (church/school/community hall) get name crossed of a printed list. (everyone is on Aust rolls & comp to vote).
Get given offically stamped & signed bits of paper. Can either put them in vote box with/without completing. (Requirement is to turn up, no rules re voting for mickeymouse if ya want to)
But voting is a private affair downunder. anons mum used to tell anon, but dad never did. I think parents voted diff.
Many in Aussie, vote for "least damage" or "swap 'em out" or vote blue in lower house/red in up. "teals" aka independents scored ~1/3 vote last election.
Each "polling place" (100-10,000 ppl) manually counts & reports results. All over by 10pm usually. Except upper house, cause thats trickier to count with Preferential voting.

when that 'lake' drained (over mm years) the 'drainage' tunnels blocked with silt…
the water pressure from a tidal wave could/might unblock the 'drainage' tunnels..and mid-u-s-a floods again.

Yea anon has read stories re DUMB's etc.
And made anon wonder re the "walmart" tunnels etc, all stocked with food etc, but UNDERGROUND, which is strange if an 'event' like a nuke causing a tsunami (maybe like japan?) but east coast usa. Underground seems silly and 'indefensible' against rising water. I'm sure they have sump pumps.
