90% of the people I work with in a corporate environment for a very large North American retailer have no fucking idea the impact or scale of the decisions made. If you dare to question the direction or decisions you are told to execute (depending on how swampy the leader) you get blacklisted or smeared or thrown under the bus to discredit. So counter intuitive… if you identify the root cause of one of ((their)) problems, you become the root cause of their problems.
