I've always thought Strzok was just a cover for a bigger name. A way to allow for legitimate furor to be built around an action without it being clouded by a recognizable name. It takes the politics out of it.

Anyway, once the case has been built, they can drop the name and the anger can then be rightly focused towards the real culprit.

Just think of how often they had Stormy Daniels lawyer in front of the camera, for what amounts to a nothing story. Then we have Strzok, and no one has ever seen him.
