dunno if statistically off of averages or not. but anon thinks there have been some really weird and highly questionable mass destruction of government records over the years. two that come to mind are the big fire at the federal records warehouse back in the 50s or 60s? Think that was all US military records destroyed in that one. then the other was that high rise chicago government records storage facility that basically flooded top to bottom back in the early 2000s.
