I’ve stuck by Trump through his poor choices of who he surrounds himself with, the shameless vax promotion, the head scratching preemptive attacks on DeSantis, and the “Big Announcement” NFT nonsense, but what am I to do with this?:

Trump — I’m 100% backing Kevin McCarthy for House Speaker…

MIAMI — President Trump told the conservatives currently withholding support from House leader Kevin McCarthy to stand down in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News.

“I like him,” Trump said of McCarthy, before teeing off on those working against him including Matt Gaetz, Andy Biggs, Matt Rosendale, Bob Good, and Ralph Norman. Trump warned that there could beserious consequences if McCarthy does not get the gaveland it would make Washington worse for conservatives.

“I think it’s a very dangerous game that’s being played,”Trump said. “It’s a very dangerous game. Some bad things could happen. Look, we had Boehner and he was a strange person but we ended up with Paul Ryan who was ten times worse. Paul Ryan was an incompetent speaker. I think he goes down as the worst speaker in history. We took out Boehner—and a group of people, some of whom are the same, and they’re very good friends of mine. All those people are very good friends of mine.”

We have the unfortunate issue of northerners relocating to NC en masse and bringing their politics with them. Specifically in Wake, Durham, Orange, Guilford, and Mecklenburg counties. The first 3 are in the Research Triangle Park vicinity and the latter 2 are more urbanized areas with high tech jobs. The jobs and the cost of living bring them here but their toxic political leanings are turning a solid red state purple.

Where Trump said this:

“We are fighting for the gay community, and we are fighting and fighting hard,” the former president and 2024 candidate said. “With the help of many of the people here tonight in recent years, our movement has taken incredible strides, the strides you’ve made here is incredible.”

Here’s what DeSantis had to say about the new gay marriage law:

In an interview on Fox News earlier this week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — a Trump rival widely viewed as a top GOP hopeful in 2024 — said there was “no need” for the Respect for Marriage Act and called the right’s concerns over religious liberty “valid.”

Donald Trump Could Take Down Ronna Romney McRINO But He “Likes” Her Too Much for Some Reason

President Donald Trump has massive sway among Republican voters. Unfortunately, his sway within Republican leadership has fallen since the 2020 election was stolen from him. That’s the only possible reason I can think of for why he refuses to either call on RNC Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel to step down or to throw his support behind either of the two contenders, both of whom are unambiguous allies.

McDaniel is not Trump’s ally. She has repeatedly blamed the lack of a 2022 “red tsunami” on “poor candidates,” and while she has not directly attached Trump’s name to the candidates that he supported who lost, the insinuation is crystal clear.
