Let's break it down. Initially, he's talking to a world audience because his followers are global. This was intentional and not a missed opportunity to give possession (think grammar) to the word "country":

Subtle, yes, and still grammatically off, as there should be a trailing ' after countries. Regardless, he then switches to focus on USA in the next couple of sentences:
