I have just by happenstance ran in to lots of actors, musicians while living in West LA and Michael Landon was one of them.
We would go out looking for places to hike and one cold day we went to Colony Rd in Malibu because we read in the LA times there was an estuary with a walking path.
Lo and behold we see Michael first walking then on our return sitting on a bench located in the reeds.
I always wondered if he knew at the time his days were numbered.
