As the Twitter plot thickens, Elon Musk has shown the political power of Twitter with an election to decide if he should remain CEO.
Well done, except you are too soon. Your organization has yet to come clean to you about the massive banning that took place. Your vote is not taken from an accurate cross-section of potential users. It is taken from the currently allowed users. Those folks that the past administration has not previously purged at Twitter. Stepping down is not warranted at this time. This would be the most significant episode of feeding the trolls that has ever taken place on the Internet.
Just look at the preservation requests and gag orders you are under. The countless non-bot accounts that were purged for supporting capitalist candidates or voicing out against communist candidates. These people are the ones that are worth fighting for. They are the ones that make your position at the top of Twitter worth staying for.
Elon, you would not have lost that poll if your user base was still an actual cross-section of internet users. Don’t quit now. It’s time to dig in and tell what truth you can, as you have been doing. Do your best, Elon, and do your duty. At times like these, great Americans look past their fiduciary responsibility to their corporations and look to their obligation as ordinary Americans. The obligation to preserve liberty for ourselves and our posterity.
Be the John Hancock of the shipping industry. Don’t be the Mitch McConnell of the shipping industry.
Your unique position and perspective as the CEO of the most important tech company on this planet. Puts an even larger solemn responsibility on your shoulders. It ain’t going to be easy, and you may not recoup your investment, but you still have the opportunity to preserve your dignity, your nation, and your soul.
I know from experience the tremendous stress being placed on you now. These are the times that weak men break, and strong men prove their steel.
Do your best, do your duty.
You are a winner, don’t change that.
