I have no idea if the moon pulls the tides or waves turn rocks into sand.
I am learning that the way the spells work is they have to contain some truth and then some lies. If they are all lies, they don't work. So, given that framework, It's possible the moon as some effect on the water/tides but probably not as we've been told.
The waves/rocks thing I hadn't thought about until just now. If they don't cause rocks to break apart, what does? I think electricity and magnetism play major parts in what happens here. As i watched the lake freeze over this year, i couldn't help but notice the ice cracks looked just like lightning.
