MORE DEEP STATE LIES: FBI Hid Hunter Biden Laptop, Refused to Investigate It, Said They Lost It… And NOW SAY They Did Not Push Big Tech to Censor It

The FBI took possession of the Hunter Biden laptop from computer repair shop owner Jahn Paul Mac Isaac in December 2019.

John Paul Mac Isaac then never heard another word from the FBI. The elite investigative agency killed the story and refused to investigate the contents of the laptop. This was a conscious decision by the FBI to help their candidate Joe Biden in his race against President Donald Trump.

The FBI never disclosed ANYTHING to Congressional lawmakers or the Trump administration during the bogus impeachment trial. They had all the evidence to debunk the impeachment. They kept quiet instead.

John Paul Mac Isaac later gave a copy of the computer hard drive to Rudy Giuliani. The FBI was illegally tapping into Rudy’s calls and tracking his communications online. They knew Rudy had a copy of the laptop. They devised a plan and warned Big Tech about the story encouraging Twitter, Facebook, Google, etc. to kill the story.

An FBI whistleblower claims FBI brass told employees NOT to look at Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell.

Chris Wray and the FBI later raided President Trump’s home while ignoring the reams of evidence of criminal conduct on the Hunter Biden laptop.

And now the FBI says they did not push Big Tech to kill the Hunter Biden story despite evidence produced to the contrary.

On Wednesday, in response to the publication of Elon Musk’s Twitter files, the FBI issued a statement in which it accused the journalists behind the Twitter files of being “conspiracy theorists” in order to ‘discredit the agency.’

The FBI has been making a concerted effort to exert control over Twitter, its users, and their information.

The FBI paid Twitter $3.4 million in tax dollars to censor, suspend and harass Twitter users who only wanted to share the truth.

On Wednesday’s episode of America Reports on Fox News, Sandra Smith read the statement from the FBI:

“The correspondence between the FBI and Twitter show nothing more than examples of our traditional, longstanding and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements, which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries. As evidenced in the correspondence, the FBI provides critical information to the private sector in an effort to allow them to protect themselves and their customers. The men and women of the FBI work every day to protect the American public. It is unfortunate that conspiracy theorists and others are feeding the American public misinformation with the sole purpose of attempting to discredit the agency.”

Are we really supposed to believe this garbage?

Maybe it’s time to shut down this corrupt, dishonest organization.

France slaps hefty fine on US tech giant

The authorities have accused Microsoft of imposing ad cookies on users, with the company now ordered to pay €60 million

US tech giant Microsoft, one of the world’s leading software producers, has been ordered to pay €60 million ($64 million) after the French authorities found it guilty of breaching local regulations. The country’s privacy watchdog said it had imposed the fine – so far, the largest this year – over the company’s unscrupulous use of ad cookies

Cookies are small files of information that a web server generates and sends to a web browser when a user visits a website. They are typically used to personalize the user experience, but also for advertising purposes.

In a statement released on Thursday, France’s National Commission for Technology and Freedoms (CNIL) stated that Microsoft’s search engine, Bing, did not allow users to opt out of cookies easily enough.

Investigations by French officials concluded that “when users visited this site, cookies were deposited on their terminal without their consent.” The watchdog said that “these cookies were used, among others, for advertising purposes.”

The CNIL also found that “there was no button allowing to refuse the deposit of cookies as easily as accepting it.”

The watchdog explained that Microsoft ended up receiving a share of third-party advertising profits which, in turn, accrued thanks to the data collected via cookies.

The US tech giant now has three months to bring its services in line with French regulations. Should it fail to do so in time, it will face an additional penalty of €60,000 for each day overdue.

Last year, the CNIL slapped Google and Facebook with fines of €150 million and €60 million respectively over similar breaches.

Earlier this month, Reuters reported that Microsoft was working to address antitrust concerns raised earlier by the EU – said to stem from a complaint filed by workspace messaging app Slack last year, according to which the US tech giant had unfairly integrated its workplace chat and video app Teams into its Office product.

Over the past decade, Microsoft has found itself at the center of multiple investigations in the EU, with the authorities imposing fines totaling €2.2 billion.

A Nancy Pelosi building, LGBTQ museum, $200 million for 'gender equity,' and more in new federal spending bill

A new federal $1.7 trillion Omnibus Appropriations Bill just dropped, and both parties are rushing to point out its massive over-spending, achievements, and shortcomings.

Representative Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) and his team sifted through the 4,000 pages of the document, finding some of the most egregious examples of poor spending and fiscal mismanagement.

The first and most contentious item is that the bill prevents funding from going toward border security. A Twitter fact-check (now called "Birdwatch") disputed this claim, saying that the funding is in a separate section "which includes $230mil for 'acquisition and deployment of border security technologies'."

However, the bill appears to prohibit funding specifically for improving "border control processing."

At the same time, $410 million is allocated for "enhanced border security" in the countries of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, and Tunisia.

A whopping $575 million is assigned to "family planning/reproductive health" in areas where "population growth threatens bio-diversity or endangered species."

A federal building in San Francisco, California, will be "known and designated as the 'Speaker Nancy Pelosi Federal Building'," while in Georgia, Representative Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) requested $3.6 million for a "Michelle Obama Trail."

Former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.) needs $1.4 million for an electric bus charging facility.

Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.), chair of the House Judiciary Committee, will receive $3 million for an "American LGBTQ Museum" and $750,000 to update the fire alarm system at the Metropolitan Opera.

Up to $200 million will be made available for the "gender equity and equality action fund," which can also be made available to "promote democracy" and "gender programs in Pakistan."

$335 million has been allocated for a possible influenza outbreak, which includes vaccines as well as "surveillance tools."

The Senate.Gov site boasts other spending, more broadly speaking: $5 billion for the "Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program," $700 million toward "combatting violence against women," and $8 billion for the "Child Care and Development Block Grant."

Nutritional programs will see nearly $48 billion to help provide assistance for women and children, with $47.5 billion also going to the National Institutes of Health and another $9.2 billion to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Legislators say the bill will "provide relief to American families" from cost of living and inflation, while helping "put food on the table" and "make rent and mortgage payments."

Hunter Biden adds DC lawyer Abbe Lowell to legal team as probes await

First son Hunter Biden has added a high-profile Washington defense attorney whose client roster includes a who’s-who of embattled politicians to his legal team as House Republicans plan to launch investigations into his overseas business interests as soon as next month.

Abbe Lowell will be responsible for coordinating the 52-year-old Hunter’s defense during the congressional probes that will begin after Republicans take over the House in the new year.

“Hunter Biden has retained Abbe Lowell to help advise him and be part of his legal team to address the challenges he is facing,” Kevin Morris — another Hunter Biden lawyer — told NBC News, which first reported on Lowell’s retention.

“Lowell is a well-known Washington-based attorney who has represented numerous public officials and high-profile people in DOJ investigations and trials as well as congressional investigations,” Morris added. “Mr. Lowell will handle congressional investigations and general strategic advice.”

Lowell, 70, served as chief minority counsel in the House of Representatives during the impeachment proceedings against President Bill Clinton in the late 1990s. He also successfully defended prominent Democrats John Edwards and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) from federal corruption charges in 2012 and 2017, respectively.

During the Trump administration, Lowell represented Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, during the Russia collusion investigations by Congress and the FBI.

Most recently, Lowell was the main lawyer for Tom Barrack, a President Donald Trump supporter and fundraiser, who was found not guilty last month by a Brooklyn federal jury on charges he unlawfully acted as a foreign agent.

Republicans, who won a narrow House majority in last month’s midterm elections, have put Hunter Biden’s business dealings squarely in their sights.

Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the incoming chair of the House Oversight Committee, and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), who will head up the House Judiciary Committee, have said their panels will investigate whether the first son’s business dealings put the nation’s security at risk and whether President Biden was benefiting from the relationships.

“Our investigation is about Joe Biden,” Comer told reporters last month as he previewed the probes. “Was Joe Biden directly involved with Hunter Biden’s business deals and is he compromised? That’s our investigation.”

“We’re not trying to prove Hunter Biden is a bad actor,” Comer added. “He is.”

The Post first exposed Hunter Biden’s business interests in China and Ukraine in a series of reports beginning in October 2020 based on emails and documents found in a laptop the first son abandoned at a Delaware computer repair store the year before.

The blockbuster reports gave Republicans the ammunition needed to pursue investigations into Hunter Biden and his family, but they were also the subject of censorship by Twitter and other social media platforms at the behest of the FBI.

Elon Musk, the billionaire owner of Twitter, has been releasing installments of the so-called “Twitter Files” since Dec. 2 that revealed the behind-the-scenes deliberations taking place among the tech company’s top executives to block The Post’s reporting.

On Monday, journalist Michael Shellenberger revealed that the FBI pushed Twitter to suppress The Post’s reporting because it could be part of a Russian effort to discredit then-candidate Biden in the weeks before the 2020 election.

The first installment of the “Twitter Files,” based on reporting from journalist Matt Taibbi, showed that a group of top executives decided to censor The Post’s Hunter Biden expose without telling then-Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey.

The group of execs used the rationale that the reporting violated the platform’s “hacked materials” policy.

“Hacking was the excuse, but within a few hours, pretty much everyone realized that wasn’t going to hold. But no one had the guts to reverse it,” a former employee told Taibbi.

The Biden White House has dismissed the upcoming Republican investigations as “politically motivated attacks chock full of long-debunked conspiracy theories.”

“President Biden is not going to let these political attacks distract him from focusing on Americans’ priorities, and we hope congressional Republicans will join us in tackling them instead of wasting time and resources on political revenge,” a White House spokesman has said.

Chuck Schumer Announces Agreement to Pass Omnibus Bill Before Christmas

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) on Thursday morning announced an agreement to advance the $1.7 trillion omnibus bill before Christmas weekend.

Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and Democrats have been working to pass the omnibus bill before a self-imposed deadline of Thursday to avoid a shutdown at midnight on Friday. But negotiations become sticky after Sen. Mike Lee’s (R-UT) Title 42 amendment threw a wrench in the Senate process. As a result, many critics of the deal were hopeful Congress would be forced to pass a short-term spending resolution (CR) to keep the government open, pending a continued standoff between Democrats on Lee’s amendment.

If Congress passed a short-term CR to keep the government open until February, conservative House Republicans would receive a significant victory. Defeating the omnibus bill would improve House Republicans’ position in the new Congress to gut many of the proposals in the massive spending bill. One of those proposals to cut would presumably have been the $45 billion worth of aid to Ukraine. The $45 billion is in addition to the $66 billion Congress already approved for Ukraine.

But Schumer has come up with a procedural tactic to circumvent Lee’s amendment and avoid failing to pass the massive bill before Christmas. According to Punchbowl News, Schumer has drafted a side-by-side amendment on Title 42, which is crafted to cancel Lee’s amendment by giving Democrats and Republicans each a vote.

Schumer told reporters the tactic will allow the $1.7 trillion dollar spending bill to pass the Senate Thursday, enabling senators to go home before Christmas, a self-imposed deadline by Schumer’s negotiating colleague, McConnell, who has publicly supported the massive bill.

After the Senate votes on the package, it will head to the House for approval. If all goes well in both chambers, President Joe Biden will sign the bill into law:

GOP Senators Call Out Biden Official’s Appearance With Gain-Of-Function Research Non-Profit Staffer

Republican senators are sounding the alarm about a Biden administration official’s appearance alongside an official whose non-profit partnered with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) to conduct gain-of-function research.

Jim Levy, a Deputy Assistant Secretary at the State Department, appeared on a Dec. 8 panel at the 2022 Global Health Conference (GHC) alongside EcoHealth Alliance Vice President For Science and Outreach Dr. Jonathan Epstein. The panel convened to discuss ways of “reduc[ing] the risk of [zoonotic] spillover,” which can cause pandemics, and implied COVID-19 had a natural origin by migrating from animals to humans. The U.S. intelligence community and the World Health Organization (WHO) still publicly consider a lab leak as the virus’ possible origin, even as the GHC’s panel description claimed “new science strongly supports zoonotic origins for COVID-19.”

EcoHealth Alliance funneled U.S. taxpayer dollars to WIV to conduct gain-of-function research on bat-based coronaviruses similar to COVID-19.

“We are unaware of Congressional briefings by the State Department about this new science that apparently strongly supports the COVID-19 zoonotic origins hypothesis,” Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall, Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley, and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio wrote Friday in a letter to Secretary of State Antony Blinken, obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller.

A 2021 report released by the Biden administration revealed that intelligence community officials were split on COVID-19’s origins, and the WHO has refused to rule out its emergence from the WIV via a lab leak. The WHO has also called for further investigations into a potential lab leak. A report released in October by Senate Republicans argued COVID-19 “most likely” leaked from the WIV.

When reached for comment, a State Department spokesperson confirmed that the 2021 report “remains the U.S. government’s most authoritative assessment” on COVID-19’s origins.

“As that report noted, “the IC—and the global scientific community—lacks clinical samples or a complete understanding of epidemiological data from the earliest COVID-19 cases. If we obtain information on the earliest cases that identified a location of interest or occupational exposure, it may alter our evaluation of hypotheses,” the spokesperson told the Daily Caller.

Three Princeton Diversity Administrators Resign Over Alleged ‘Macro-Aggressive Environment’

Another Princeton administrator working in the university’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) office has resigned over an alleged lack of support from university leadership.

Jordan Turner, a “Black queer non-binary person” who uses “they/them” pronouns, is the third DEI official who has left Princeton in recent months, according to The Daily Princetonian. The other two, Dr. Jim Scholl and Dr. Avina Ross, resigned for similar reasons.

Turner joined the University in May as the Associate Director of Athletics for the DEI and was hired to oversee “all aspects of DEI education and training for student-athletes, coaches and staff with Princeton Athletics,” The Daily Princetonian reported.

Turner resigned in September citing the lack of support in implementing equity-based policies in the university’s athletic groups. Turner tried to implement a “trans-inclusion” training initiative on the school’s sports teams but the university allegedly “put off all training for a year with a plan to revisit at a later unspecified date.”

“I … came to Princeton to create a more just and equitable playing field for all,” Turner told The Princetonian in an interview. “It didn’t feel like the intention was for me to be fully supported in my role. The role of equity in athletics is critical to the future of sports at the post-secondary level.”

Turner said the university’s alleged resistance to the ideas created a “highly macro-aggressive” and “hostile” work environment. “I was hospitalized because of just how stressful the work environment became and I had little support,” Turner said.

Scholl and Ross were also interviewed by The Princetonian about their former role in the University and why they left.

Scholl chaired the University’s Transgender Health Team at University Health Services (UHS) and served as the Preventions Programs Manager at the Sexual Harassment/Assault Advising, Resources and Education (SHARE) office. Ross was SHARE’s Prevention Curriculum Assessment Manager and Associate Director.

Sam Bankman-Fried’s Cronies Plead Guilty to Federal Charges Related to FTX Collapse

Gary Wang, co-founder of FTX, and Caroline Ellison, former co-CEO of Sam Bankman-Fried’s Alameda Research, have both pleaded guilty to federal offenses in the Southern District of New York, according to a statement released by U.S. Attorney Damian Williams this week.

CNBC reports that FTX co-founder Gary Wang and former Alameda Research co-CEO Caroline Ellison have both pleaded guilty to federal charges and are cooperating with prosecutors, according to U.S. Attorney Damian Williams. Both the bankrupt FTX and its associated hedge fund Alameda Research are the brainchild of Democrat super donor Sam Bankman-Fried.

Gary Wang has admitted to participating in a conspiracy to commit wire fraud, committing wire fraud, conspiring to commit commodities fraud, and conspiring to commit securities fraud. Caroline Ellison has pleaded guilty to two counts of wire fraud, two counts of conspiring to commit wire fraud, conspiring to commit commodities fraud, securities fraud, and money laundering.

Wang and Ellison both entered guilty pleas on federal charges on Monday, according to the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Damian Williams. These charges were announced on Monday, the same day that former FTX CEO Sam Bankman-Fried was set to travel from the Bahamas to New York to face eight federal criminal charges from the same prosecutors but was delayed after a court hearing in the Bahamas was disrupted.

In a prerecorded message, Williams stated: “As I said last week, this investigation is very much ongoing. I also said that last’s week announcement would not be our last. And let me be clear, once again, neither is today’s.”

Bankman-Fried was taken into custody in the Bahamas last week after being indicted by the Southern District of New York. He has spent the last few days involved in court proceedings related to his potential extradition to the United States. At the same time, the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission have filed civil complaints against Bankman-Fried, Ellison, and Wang.

The SEC claimed that the crypto executives were involved “in a multiyear scheme to defraud equity investors in FTX, the crypto trading platform co-founded by Samuel Bankman-Fried and Wang.”

The CFTC’s complaint charges “Ellison with fraud and material misrepresentations in connection with the sale of digital asset commodities in interstate commerce, and charges Wang with fraud in connection with the sale of digital asset commodities in interstate commerce.”

Gary Wang and Caroline Ellison have both admitted to the allegations made against them, according to a statement from the CFTC. The SEC complaint specifically mentions Ellison’s involvement in manipulating FTT, a self-issued token of FTX, to increase Alameda Research’s available collateral for lending.

China Warns Australia: Don’t Be an ‘Enthusiastic Bandwagoner’ to the U.S.

China publicly warned Australia on Wednesday against being an “enthusiastic bandwagoner of the U.S. strategy” in the contentious Indo-Pacific region after Foreign Minister Penny Wong concluded her visit to Beijing.

Wong’s diplomatic foray was the first by a minister from Canberra in almost four years, even as China remains Australia’s single biggest trading partner.

Beijing chose China’s state-run media outlet China Daily to warn Australia to be cautious.

Titled “Canberra should not be swayed by US in handling its relations with China”, the editorial affirmed Australia’s new left-wing Labour government led by Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and its efforts to thaw relations with Beijing.

However, it placed the blame for the relationship’s previous breakdown squarely at the feet of Australia, coming as it did during the outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic.

The “anti-China rhetoric” which was present in the former conservative government’s handling of Beijing was cited as a key reason for the diplomatic freeze. The editorial stated:

Bilateral ties have encountered difficulties in recent years, as Canberra drew closer to Washington as the US gave greater attention to the region.

Under the previous government of Scott Morrison, Australia often enthusiastically served as a forerunner in the US’ ‘Indo-Pacific strategy’ aimed at containing China’s development.

Some ideologically-obsessed Australian politicians and media deliberately spread the US’ confrontational narrative against China in Australian society and thus created a poisonous atmosphere for what used to be robust and mutually beneficial ties between the two countries.

Wong’s trip to Beijing was ostensibly a celebration of 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries. She unveiled a commemorative envelope on Wednesday to mark the anniversary together with Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

In meetings afterwards, both parties agreed to new bilateral dialogs on diplomatic relations, consular affairs, trade and economic issues, climate change, defense, and regional and international issues.

China has been highly critical of Australia’s AUKUS defense deal with the U.S. and United Kingdom, having published several editorials in state-run media calling for the deal to be scrapped.

Last year Canberra announced it will invest $580 million to upgrade four northern military bases and expand “war gaming” exercises with the United States, as Breitbart News reported, partnering Australia’s ambitious plans to continue engaging with regional allies and build its defense capabilities accordingly.

Canadian Border Agency Using China Tech Banned in USA Over Security Concerns

The Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) has been using a Chinese communications technology for years that has been banned by the United States on national security grounds.

The CBSA has been using technology developed by the Chinese company Hytera Communications for around five and a half years, tech banned by the United Stations over spying fears earlier this year.

Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino, a member of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s cabinet, has stated that he will launch a review of the technology after it was brought to his attention by Canadian broadcaster CBC, which reported on the issue on Tuesday.

“I have instructed my department to do a portfolio-wide scan and review of any other potential similar contracts which may have been awarded, so that we can take whatever steps are necessary to mitigate any against any risks that may exist,” Minister Medicine said this week, adding, “That will apply right across all departments, including the CBSA.”

The review comes after the United States banned the import and sale of products belonging to several other Chinese communication firms over national security fears including, Huawei, ZTE, Hikvision and Dahua.

U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chair Jessica Rosenworcel released a statement in November on the matter saying, “The FCC is committed to protecting our national security by ensuring that untrustworthy communications equipment is not authorised for use within our borders.”

“These new rules are an important part of our ongoing actions to protect the American people from national security threats involving telecommunications,” she said.

The Canadian company Canquest supplied the Hytera products to the CBSA, which consisted of digital mobile radios and radio communications infrastructure in the Niagara region, along the border with the state of New York.

While three of the four points of entry in Niagara no longer use Hytera products, the Peace Bridge, remains using the products until they are scheduled to change in March of next year.

The CBC report comes after several other recent reports in Canada regarding alleged Chinese interference within Canada’s borders.

Reports of Chinese police stations operating in Canada were reported in October by the human rights group Safeguard Defenders, which claimed similar police stations operated in a variety of other western countries, including the USA and the UK.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) stated they took the allegations seriously, Chinese officials claimed the offices were used to renew Chinese government documents, such as identification and driver’s licenses, while Safeguard Defenders claimed the stations were used to pressure Chinese nationals to return home to face criminal prosecution.

Just weeks later another report claimed that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had directly tried to influence the 2019 Canadian federal election and had funnelled money to at least eleven candidates, with Canadian media claiming that Prime Minister Trudeau had been briefed on the matter by the Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS).

Trudeau, however, dismissed the media claims, saying that CSIS had not presented him with a report on Chinese election interference. “Let me be clear, I do not have any information, nor have I been briefed on any federal candidates receiving any money from China,” Trudeau said.

‘Non-Binary’ Artist Arrested By Undercover FBI Agent After Allegedly Trying To Rape 9-Year-Old Boy

A “non-binary queer” artist was recently arrested for allegedly trying to rape a 9-year-old boy after a series of conversations with undercover FBI agents.

According to the Department of Justice, the accused, Efrem Zelony-Mindell, allegedly started communicating on an encrypted messaging site and “repeatedly expressed, in graphic and unambiguous terms, his desire to engage in sexual activity with minor children.” The defendant is also accused of sending an undercover agent “numerous images and videos containing child pornography.”

A short time later, Zelony-Mindell communicated with another undercover agent posing as the father of a nine-year-old boy.

Zelony-Mindell allegedly “made clear that he was interested in having sex with the nine-year-old child,” a DOJ press release said.

The DOJ further claimed the defendant “made clear that he wanted to engage in sexual activity, including specifically anal sex” with the undercover agent’s purported son. The agent told Zelony-Mindell that his boy would be “knocked out a little bit” from sleep medicine, and the defendant allegedly “agreed to have sex with the drugged child,” according to federal authorities.

The agent and defendant arranged to meet on a street corner in New York City on Friday, the DOJ said, and planned to go to an apartment where Zelony-Mindell “would then engage in sexual activity with the child.”

A third undercover agent arrested Zelony-Mindell at the agreed-upon location in lower Manhattan.

“The protection of children from predation remains of critical importance to this Office, and we will continue to use our resources and work with our law enforcement partners to bring offenders to justice,” U.S. Attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.

The act of engaging in sexual intercourse with someone who is not able to consent is considered statutory rape.

FBI Assistant Director Michael J. Driscoll called the defendant’s actions “nearly unfathomable.”

“Today’s action should serve as a reminder to anyone who seeks to prey on children – the FBI Human Trafficking and Child Exploitation Task Force and our law enforcement partners will continue to aggressively pursue you and hold you accountable,” Driscoll added.

ABC News producer was also a secret corporate agent, investigation finds

A freelance ABC News producer exploited her credentials to smear politicians while working a side-job with a scandal-ridden consulting firm that’s in the pocket of several powerful corporations.

The journalist, Kristen Hentschel, told politicians she was an ABC reporter when she confronted them with uncomfortable questions, but she was really doing corporate hit-jobs, according to a new investigation by NPR and Floodlight.

A former longtime president of ABC News, David Westin, said he’d never seen anything like Hentschel’s situation before.

“It just goes to the very heart of why people no longer have the same confidence and trust in the news media as they once did,” Westin said. “They suspect this is going on anyway, and for it to actually go on confirms their worst suspicions.”

According to the investigation, Hentschel has earned at least $14,350 since 2016 working with a consulting firm called Matrix LLC, which has been tied to other scandals: running “ghost” candidates, bribing public officials to resign, and bankrolling news sites critical of its clients.

The investigation indicates Hentschel posed as a journalist while essentially being a paid agent of two powerful clients: the sugar conglomerate Florida Crystals and the utility Florida Power & Light.

In one instance, Hentschel produced a news-style video under the name of a sham non-profit, dragging a Florida candidate over a fabricated story about endangered tortoises, according to the investigation. Internal ledgers reportedly show the two companies mentioned above paid for this.

And in 2020, she arrived at the home of Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), an opponent of Florida Crystals. He wasn’t home, but Hentschel told his wife she was there for ABC. The network denied that at the time, suggesting it may have learned about her side-work as early as two years ago.

Mast said he thinks it was an effort to intimidate him on behalf of Florida Crystals, which the company denies.

“Somebody came to threaten my family,” Mast said. “That’s very serious to me. It’s a very serious line that was crossed.”

If Hentschel’s name isn’t familiar, her story may be. She changed her name after taking a career hit in 2011, when “To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen was caught cheating on his wife with her.

ABC News confirmed that Hentschel had worked for the network as a “freelance daily hire,” but cut ties with her after the investigation was published.

Florida Power & Light declined to comment on the investigation, while a Florida Crystals lawyer said the company “was not involved … in any negative attacks in any form.”

Hentschel and the Matrix CEO that hired her did not comment. A Matrix founder called that CEO a “rogue” employee and said he knew nothing of Hentschel’s work.

Sen. Hawley says FBI interfered in 2 US elections: ‘Somebody should go to jail’

In a comment to reporters on Tuesday, Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) accused the FBI of interfering in two consecutive U.S. presidential elections and said “somebody should go to jail for all of this.”

Hawley’s press secretary Abigail Marone tweeted a clip of Hawley’s comments to the press.

Hawley offered his comments after recent rounds of the “Twitter Files” detailed the extensive ties between the FBI and Twitter and showed the FBI’s efforts to forewarn Twitter about a Russian “hack and leak operation” involving then-candidate Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. The FBI’s warnings about such a “hack and leak operation” came ahead of the New York Post publishing a series of articles based on the laptop. Twitter acted quickly to censor those New York Post articles based on the belief that the materials violated their “hacked materials policy.”

In Part 7 of the “Twitter Files” series, journalist Michael Shellenberger noted that the FBI had collected evidence in December of 2019 from a Delaware computer repair shop that possessed Hunter Biden’s alleged laptop. Nine months later, in August of 2020, the computer repair shop owner still hadn’t heard back from the FBI about the materials they had taken from his possession.

The files also included a portion of a legal statement by Twitter’s then-Head of Site Integrity Yoel Roth, who described multiple in-person meetings with FBI officials who warned him about potential 2020 election “hack-and-leak operations” including rumors that one of the operations “would involve Hunter Biden.”

On Oct. 13, 2020, Hunter Biden and his lawyer became aware that the New York Post would publish a story based on the laptop. That same day, an FBI agent contacted Roth notifying Roth that he would send along some documents and asking Roth to confirm receiving them once they arrived.

When the New York Post did publish its article on the alleged laptop materials on Oct. 14, 2020, Roth said the article “isn’t clearly violative of our Hacked Materials Policy, nor is it clearly in violation of anything else” to which former FBI employee turned Twitter legal counsel James Baker said “it is reasonable for us to assume that [laptop materials in the New York Post article] may have been [hacked] and that caution is warranted” adding “there are some facts that indicate that the materials may have been hacked.”

Twitter eventually locked the newspaper’s account and blocked users from sharing links to the Biden laptop articles in a move Roth recently admitted was a mistake.

Canada funded this assisted suicide 'activity book' for children

Medical Assistance in Dying is defined in the booklet as the use of medicines to stop a 'person’s body from working'

Just as Ottawa publicly acknowledges that its assisted suicide regime might have gone too far, critics have highlighted the existence of a little-known medical assistance in dying children’s activity book that was funded by the Canadian government.

Article content

The Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) Activity Book was first published in July by the group Canadian Virtual Hospice.

The book is not intended for children who are themselves seeking assisted death, and it’s not subject to mass-distribution through schools or public libraries. Minors are ineligible for medically assisted death in Canada, although there has been a push by the Quebec College of Physicians to extend the practice to severely disabled newborns.

Rather, the activity book is intended for children who may soon be attending a medically assisted death in person. “Created for young people who have someone in their life who may have MAID,” the group declared in a statement.

MAID is defined in the booklet as the use of medicines to stop a “person’s body from working.”

Article content

“When their body stops working, the person dies,” it reads.
