The first flight of a legend.
No reconnaissance aircraft in history has operated globally in more hostile airspace or with such complete impunity than the SR-71, the world's fastest jet-propelled aircraft.
The first flight of a SR-71A Blackbird was completed #OTD in 1964.
A black stealth jet is photographed stylistically from the front in a museum setting.
