‘We don’t want European-style immigration here’: Trump slams Merkel’s policy

Amid a national furor over his immigration policy, US President Donald Trump took to Twitter to call for stronger border laws, citing Germany’s ‘open-door’ migration policy as a “big mistake.”

“Why don’t the Democrats give us the votes to fix the world’s worst immigration laws?,” Trump tweeted Monday. “Where is the outcry for the killings and crime being caused by gangs and thugs, including MS-13, coming into our country illegally?”

Trump has regularly called for Democrats to support his proposed tough immigration laws, including funding a 2,000-mile long wall on the US’ southern border with Mexico. The president is currently planning on meeting House Republicans on Tuesday to weigh up two proposed pieces of immigration legislation, one ‘moderate’ and one more hard-right.

However, the President has come under fire from Democrats, celebrities, and the Twitter #resistance for his administration’s policy of separating the children of illegal immigrants from their parents and detaining them. In a Washington Post op-ed over the weekend, former First Lady Laura Bush called the separation policy “cruel” and “immoral.”

The recent increase in detentions is a consequence of the Trump administration’s new ‘zero-tolerance’ policy on illegal immigration that prosecutes all illegal border-jumpers. As illegal immigrants have allegedly committed a crime, and as their children cannot be taken to jail, they are detained until their parents have appeared in court.

“Children are being used by some of the worst criminals on earth as a means to enter our country,” Trump continued. “Has anyone been looking at the Crime taking place south of the border. It is historic, with some countries the most dangerous places in the world. Not going to happen in the U.S.”

Top Swedish politician takes heat for claiming Jews, minorities ‘not Swedes’

The deputy speaker of the Swedish Parliament has come under fire for claiming that Jews and Sami people are “not Swedes.” Police even received a formal complaint about the comment, according to local media.

Bjorn Soder, a senior member of the Swedish Democrats who currently serves as deputy speaker of parliament, made the remarks on the Facebook page of Sweden’s Centre Party, in response to allegations of racism from the party’s leader, Annie Loof.

“Annie Loof adversely affects the position of Jews and Sami in Sweden when she indirectly claims that they are Swedes,” he wrote. “These groups have minority positions in Sweden just because they are not Swedes. Shame on you Annie Loof for your racist attitude.”

Loof had previously criticized comments made by Soder in 2014, in which he said that while Sami, Jews, and other minority groups enjoy Swedish citizenship, they are still part of their own distinct ethnic groups. The Sami are an indigenous Finno-Ugric people inhabiting Sapmi, which today encompasses large parts of Norway and Sweden, northern parts of Finland, and Murmansk Region in Russia.

Loof published a screen grab of what she said were Soder’s comments, on her Instagram account, claiming that they revealed his party’s racist undertones.

“The problem with the Sweden Democrats is not just their history, but also that their dividing up of people continues even today. And at the highest levels of their leadership,” she wrote. “As a citizen you are Swedish, whether you belong to a national minority or not.”

Not everyone agreed with Loof’s assessment, however. “Why, for example, should a man be forced to see himself Swedish in the first place when he / she does not see it himself? Because you like it?” One Instagram user wrote in response to her post.

Soder’s comments were reported to the authorities as a potential hate crime, according to local media reports. However, police dropped their investigation shortly after receiving the complaint, it is said.

Speaking with national broadcaster SVT about the incident, Soder accused Loof of engaging in “low” tactics, taking his comments out of context to score cheap political points.

“It is up to each individual to identify their own nationality. When we speak of minorities, it is to support their distinction and special rights. To accuse me is to twist it all 180 degrees and deliberately misinterpret the whole debate,” Soder told SVT.

Improving 2015's Compassionate Use Act — which allows Texans with intractable epilepsy to purchase and use low-THC cannabidiol oil to treat the condition — so that doctors can "determine the appropriate use of cannabis for certified patients."

The federal government moving cannabis from Schedule 1 to Schedule 2 on the Drug Enforcement Agency's drug schedule.

Many are applauding this decision, as it both provides a new means of potential cost-savings for the state of Texas if legislation were to be changed; and a means of bringing a potential new income through the possible future taxation and regulation of marijuana from the federal government.

This possibility is not out of the question, with President Trump saying just last week that be would “probably end up signing” a new bill introduced by Senator Cory Gardner (R-CO) to end the federal ban on marijuana

Syrian State Media Accuses US-led Coalition Of Striking Government Positions Near al-Bukamal: Multiple Casualties Reported

Early on June 18, the Syrian state-run news agecny SANA accused the US-led coalition of striking government forces’ position near the Syrian border town of al-Bukamal.

According to the SANA’s report citing a military sources, US-led coalition warplanes carried out strikes on a position in the village of al-Hiri, located southeast of al-Bukamal.

“The new aggression comes three days after that the Syrian army liberated an area extending from the road of Haqel al-Wared (field of roses), al-M’aezleh and al-Tammah, to Ibn Muwain’e with 40 km-long axis and combed an area estimated at 2000 square kilometers in al-Mayadeen western Badiya.

The coalition has been targeting the military positions in a desperate attempt to raise the collapsed morale of the terrorist organizations due to the achievements of the Syrian army.

The field reports confirm that Washington provides Daesh organization with various kinds of support to prevent its collapse and invest it to keep its forces illegally in the Syrian territory and steal the economic resources in the eastern region through its mercenaries of terrorist groups,” the SANA added.

In turn, the US-led coalition denined the SANA’s claims and said that neither US forces nor the US-led coalition were behind the reported attack.

“Population Engineering” is the new term for population control, just like “climate change” replaced global warming

Leftists cannot be honest and open about their political, social, and cultural ideas because they know that the vast majority of people would reject them.

As such, they learned long ago to change the language and the meaning of words in order to mask and camouflage what they’re really trying to do.

The “Affordable Care Act” was never meant to be “affordable.”

Pushing tax increases is called “improving government revenue streams.”

And so on.

The Left has also done it with “climate change.” Before that term was popularized the Left called it “global warming,” but had to readjust the language after fact-based research through the years proved beyond a doubt that the globe wasn’t ‘warming’ and was, in fact, cooling in some regions.

Now the Marxists who seek to control the world are changing the language again: “Population control” has now been replaced with “population engineering,” though the latter embodies the exact same objective of fewer people around to consume resources.

A new paper published online by the uber-liberal (and taxpayer-supported) National Public Radio uses the term as it applies to the “fight against climate change.”

In the abstract the authors argue:

Contrary to political and philosophical consensus, we argue that the threats posed by climate change justify population engineering, the intentional manipulation of the size and structure of human populations. Specifically, we defend three types of policies aimed at reducing fertility rates: (1) choice enhancement, (2) preference adjustment, and (3) incentivization. While few object to the first type of policy, the latter two are generally rejected because of their potential for coercion or morally objectionable manipulation. We argue that forms of each policy type are pragmatically and morally justified (perhaps even required) tools for preventing the harms of global climate change.

May 'Got Another Card Up Her Sleeve': UK MPs Plan to Block Brexit - Politician

Prime Minister Theresa May’s Brexit plans face rejection by the UK parliament upper chamber, setting the stage for a confrontation with rebel lawmakers. Tory rebels could collapse the government if they vote against a Brexit deal negotiated with the EU, a leading rebel has said.

The EU Withdrawal Bill returns to the Lords and Commons this week, with further rebellions expected. Last week the government avoided a defeat on the bill after agreeing to hold further talks with rebels. Ministers are seeking approval for the final wording of the legislation that will end Britain’s membership of the European Union next year. Sputnik spoke to MEP Janice Atkinson about what this could mean for the future of Theresa May and the Brexit negotiations.

Sputnik: How damaging could this back and forth over the Brexit Bill be for the government?

Janice Atkinson: I don’t think it’s damaging for the government. I think the Lords have started a collision course with the people and the House of Commons.

Even Labour MP Frank Field who I have a high regard for even though he is Labour has called for their absolution, he’s presenting a bill in parliament tomorrow because he is so angry that they are trying to thwart the will of the people.

Sputnik: Could we see negotiations with the European Union collapse if there is further rebellion?

Janice Atkinson: The European Union are just sitting back waiting for her to produce a paper that they can talk about, a blue print for Brexit. I understand Theresa May is going to Brussels at the end of the month to talk to Barnier and Co.

She hasn’t got a blue print, but I think she played a brilliant one at the weekend, she’s got another card up her sleeve, which could be very very strong and sends a message to Brussels and also her MP’s that she is using the so called Brexit Bonus to fund the NHS.

Sputnik: With all this fighting could we see a collapse of the UK government and another election before the negotiations with the EU are over?Janice Atkinson: I don’t think so, I think these people will be frightened of being de-selected, and I’ve called for their de-selection. If the government did collapse like Dominic Grieve and the other traitors like Soubry and Morgan want to happen, then they will be de-selected by their local tory association.

They won’t be going back to the Commons and I’m sure they don’t want that. It’s a very stark message to these rebels, ok you collapse the government and the government could come back with a hung parliament or we could see the Marxist Jeremy Corbyn in government, is that what they really want.
