HHS Increases Access to Tamiflu through the Strategic National Stockpile

Today, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Administration for Strategic Preparedness and Response (ASPR), announced that they are making additional supply of Tamiflu available to jurisdictions to respond to an increased demand for the antiviral during this flu season, including through the Strategic National Stockpile (SNS). Jurisdictions will work with their ASPR Regional Teams to evaluate any requests for Tamiflu through the SNS, ensuring that states, territories, and tribes receive the assistance they need without affecting our nation’s preparedness for a future pandemic flu.

Anon saw the blood pressure meds taken off market bcuz "may contain high levels of blah blah that may be carcinogen" and was reminded of looking into Tamiflu when Corona started.

Anon is pretty sure they were taking it off the market for the same sketchy reasons.

Now it's not only back, but recommended?

All the negative appears scrubbed.

BTW, the real active ingredient is shikimic acid (anise/Pine needle tea), maybe they've removed it? Or maybe people are dying to quick and they need to slow things down now so prophylactic are back?

That was the WHO'S take on it when they took it off their list of essential medicines in 2017, and nothing they say is true.

Also, maker claims shikimic acid is just "used in the manufacture" and not an ingredient of the final product.

I therefore conclude there is more to the story.

Indians saved the pilgrims w Pine needle tea, and it wasn't just the vitamin C that did the trick.
