Let's not forget that when Republicans control Congress, congressional committee hearings are a joke.
They only serve to provide a smokescreen, a faux-investigation that the subjects can simply ignore, or lie to, and there are no repercussions.
Remember Eric Holder? Dude was found IN CONTEMPT of Congress, and in that moment all of America learned that being in contempt of a Republican Congress has less punitive force than a downvote on Reddit.
These hearings are entertaining in the sense that we are watching a movie and certainly the Q team realizes that Congress can do nothing at all. But let's not kid ourselves that anything can come of it. This is all a charade.
