If you ask anyone in America, “When do you celebrate Christmas?” the person will look at you cross-eyed and wonder if you were mentally deficient or in the early stages of dementia (I live in Florida and there are a lot of old people. I’m now one of them!). December 25th, of course! The majority do not realize that the members of the Eastern Orthodox Church celebrate Christmas on January 7th.

The differences between the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church (which includes Greek Orthodox and Russian Orthodox) is one of the dynamics at play in Ukraine.

About 9 percent of Ukrainians (about 3.6 million persons) are Greek Catholics, meaning they are Catholics who belong to Churches of the Byzantine rite. The vast majority of these are part of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, which is led by Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuck of the Ukrainian Archeparchy of Kyiv-Halych.

The majority of Christians in Ukraine are Eastern Orthodox; especially those who live in eastern Ukraine:

Although both churches believe in Jesus, the Catholics and the Eastern Orthodox do not view each other as brothers and sisters in Christ. Sad. But it gets worse — Zelensky’s Ukrainian government is targeting the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Ukrainian counter-intelligence services have turned their sights on some Orthodox clergy whom they suspect of pro-Russian sentiment and activity. Judge Peter Thompson Rules Elections with Broken Machines in 60% of Precincts and No Chain of Custody for Ballots Are Free, Fair and Certifiable

A gutless Arizona judge on Saturday dismissed Kari Lake’s election lawsuit against Democrat Katie Hobbs in the stolen 2022 midterm election.

Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson found Kari Lake’s lawyers had not proven Maricopa officials committed any kind of misconduct.

Kari Lake will appeal the ruling.

Judge Peter Thompson ruled that when 60% of election centers have broken machines and hundreds of thousands of ballots are counted without chain of custody, this constitutes a free and fair election.

It is crooked officials like Judge Thompson who will bring down this great nation.

Here again, are the key points ignored by Judge Thompson in Kari Lake’s lawsuit.

Judge Thompson had to go out of his way to ignore Arizona election laws to dismiss this case.

US spies pushed Twitter to censor ‘anti-Ukraine narratives’ – media

New batch of of files exposes collusion with ‘other government agencies’

The Pentagon, CIA and other US intelligence and law-enforcement agencies became increasingly “more aggressive” with takedown requests, the latest trove of Twitter files has revealed. The documents suggest the agencies were effectively pushing the platform to censor foreign-policy stories that ran against the Washington-approved narrative.

“The files show the FBI acting as doorman to a vast program of social media surveillance and censorship, encompassing agencies across the federal government – from the State Department to the Pentagon to the CIA,” journalist Matt Taibbi wrote in the Christmas Eve edition of the Twitter Files, released with the blessing of the social media platform's owner, Elon Musk.

Thousands of censorship requests flowed to Twitter from what were termed OGA" in the documents, or “Other Government Organizations," through the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force.

Twitter executives often struggled to validate government claims, but were under constant pressure to find evidence to blame any foreign actor, Russia in particular.

“Found no links to Russia,” an unnamed analyst said in one of the emails, later suggesting he could “brainstorm” to “find a stronger connection.” Former Trust and Safety chief Yoel Roth admitted in another instance that he'd found “no real matches using the info.”

Internal communications show that Twitter had been getting so many requests that its executives had to improvise a system for prioritizing them. The feds had dedicated personnel tasked with tailoring takedown requests to Twitter’s policies for faster processing, which the execs acknowledged as “odd,” but even then the company often struggled to justify censorship.

“Many people wonder if Internet platforms receive direction from intelligence agencies about moderation of foreign policy news stories. It appears Twitter did, in some cases by way of the FITF/FBI,” Taibbi wrote. At least some of these directives originated at the CIA, according to former agent and whistleblower John Kiriakou, who said he “recognized the formatting.”

The feds sometimes sent massive batches of over 1,000 accounts lined up for “digital execution,” with only a brief explanation of the alleged problems. On multiple occasions they accused “Russian agents” of directing accounts that highlighted “predominantly anti-Ukraine narratives” or documented “purported rights abuses committed by Ukrainians.”

Another intelligence assessment sent to Twitter claimed that accounts spreading information about “neo-Nazis” in Ukraine were part of a Kremlin-controlled propaganda campaign and must be banned.

Here’s What’s In The ‘Obscene’ Books Being Removed From Schools Across The Country

Through 2022, parents across the country have fought to have books deemed “age inappropriate” and “pornographic” removed from schools.

Across 5,000 schools, more than 1,600 book titles were removed in the 2021-2022 school year, according to NBC News. The books most commonly removed from schools, including “Gender Queer: A Memoir” and “All Boys Aren’t Blue,” contain images of masturbation and explicit descriptions of sexual encounters.

“Parents across the country have organically risen to fight the obviously age-inappropriate material that has crept into public schools,” Brooke Stephens, a member of Utah Parents United, a group focused on parental rights in education, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “Once they see it, they know it’s wrong and they won’t give up until it’s gone.”

“Gender Queer” the most challenged book in schools, is about a character with “e/em/eir” pronouns navigating being queer. The book contains cartoon images of a boy masturbating and performing oral sex on another man.

“All Boys Aren’t Blue,” a memoir about the experience of a black queer boy growing up, does not contain graphic images but describes graphic sexual encounters.

“He reached his hand down and pulled out my dick,” “All Boys Aren’t Blue” states. “He quickly went to giving me head. I just sat back and enjoyed it as I could tell he was, too.”

School districts in Missouri have removed more than 300 books from school libraries to follow a state law that prohibits sexually explicit content from the classroom, according Education Week. In Utah, about 280 book complaints were filed in nine of the state’s 41 school districts since May.

Alpine School District, Utah’s largest school district, removed 52 books for “inappropriate content” including “Gender Queer” and “All Boys Aren’t Blue.”

Other books removed from school districts for their sexually explicit content included “This Book Is Gay,” a book that has been described as a “how to” guide for the LGBTQ community. The book offers tips on anal sex, hand jobs and suggests dating apps to find LGBTQ partners.

“A GOOD HANDIE is all about the wrist action. Rub the head of his cock back and forth with your hand,” “This Book Is Gay” stated. “Try different speeds and pressures until he responds positively.”

The book “Flamer,” a story about a gay boy, has also been challenged in several school districts as it explicitly describes sexual interactions.

Books such as “Gender Queer” are being removed because they are being deemed obscene, which is different from being considered “sexually explicit,” PEN America, an organization working to keep books in schools, stated on their website.

“The term ‘obscenity’ is being stretched in unrecognizable ways because the concept itself is widely accepted as grounds for limiting access to content,” PEN America stated. “But many of the materials now being removed under the guise of obscenity bear no relation to the sexually explicit, deliberately evocative content that the term has historically connoted.”

Hundreds of Thousands of Canadians Without Power As Christmas Storm Rages

Hundreds of thousands of Canadians saw power outages due to the Christmas storm engulfing large parts of the country as railway and airlines cancel services.

Power outages caused by freezing temperatures and high winds affected hundreds of thousands of people across many of Canada’s provinces Saturday morning, including Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and the eastern Maritimes.

Around 82,000 people in Ontario went without power on Saturday morning, largely in the eastern and southern areas as well as in the north of the province. Ontario’s main power company Hydro One explained it was difficult for crews to repair any damages due to the winter storm conditions, broadcaster CBC reports

In Quebec, around 307,000 people faced power outages, largely centred around the Quebec city area and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.

The storm, which started on Friday, has also led to Canadian officials advising that people avoid travelling on highways and other roads due to the poor visibility and conditions on the roads.

The conditions have already led to accidents in Ontario, including a pile-up of around a hundred vehicles on the 401 highway south of the city of London on Friday, with Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reporting “dozens and dozens of collisions.”

China Expert: Communist China Using TikTok To Promote Drug Use, Violence In America In Attempt To Ruin Country

Gordon Chang, a senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute and author of “The Great U.S. China Tech War,” said during an interview this week that communist China is using TikTok to promote social disruption in the U.S. in an attempt to weaken America’s system of government.

Chang initially responded to comments from Fox News host Jason Chaffetz about China’s claims that it has legitimate concerns that it wants the U.S. to take seriously.

“Well, first of all, China doesn’t have legitimate concerns. It’s not a legitimate state,” Chang said. “And we should stop treating it as such, because as you say, it is committing genocide, crimes against humanity, it deliberately spread COVID-19 beyond its borders — that 6.7 million people outside of China who have died from a disease that should have never left the central part of that country. You know, we can go on and on. But clearly, China is engaging in a series of acts which are destructive not only toward the United States, but the international community as a whole.”

A couple of minutes later, Chaffetz responded to a report this week that ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, spied on several U.S. journalists.

“President Trump banned TikTok along with WeChat,” Chang said. “President Biden, one of the first things he did was he reversed that ban. We know that over a course of years, about three or four of them, TikTok has been making representations to the U.S. about how it doesn’t allow data to be sent to China. And it’s violated every single assurance it’s given to the U.S. But it’s not just stealing data.”

“It is actually more serious that it is using the TikTok algorithm to disseminate Chinese propaganda, glorifying drug use, promoting violence on American streets, and this year, disseminating Russian narratives about the Ukraine war,” he continued. “So this really is an attempt to undermine and actually even overthrow the U.S. government. And why we permit it? I don’t know. India banned TikTok, we should do the same thing.”

String of errors in federal statistics favoring Democrats raising concerns of manipulation

Prominent among these erroneous numbers was the Bureau of Labor Statistics' reported overestimate of second quarter job growth by a sizable margin.

A recent string of errors and apparent discrepancies in federal statistics has raised concerns that such metrics, long regarded as irreproachably nonpartisan and credible, may have fallen prey to manipulation in favor of the incumbent Democratic Party.

The three most glaring recent examples of such statistical misfires are:

the Bureau of Labor Statistics' reported overestimate of second quarter job growth by a sizable margin;

the Census Bureau's population overcounts of blue states and undercounts of red states — in a reapportionment year;

the apparent disappearance of 50,000 asylum applications from the Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR).

1. In a boon to Biden, the Bureau of Labor Statistics allegedly overreported total job growth by more than 1 million.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. economy added 1,047,000 jobs in the second quarter of 2022. The Biden White House consistently highlighted this metric in the run-up to the November midterms as evidence of an economic rebound under the president's leadership.

However, a separate report from the Philadelphia Federal Reserve released last week calculated actual job growth during that period at a mere 10,500 positions, meaning total employment remained essentially flat. The Philadelphia Fed report makes use of BLS data, but arrives at a different figure by using "more comprehensive, accurate job estimates released by the BLS as part of its Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages program," according to The Washington Times.

The BLS numbers reflect its monthly reported data, rather than the quarterly data sets on which the Fed report relied.

The Philadelphia Fed found, moreover, that BLS data underestimated unemployment numbers in 29 states and the District of Columbia. The disparities in some states were quite significant. In President Biden's own Delaware, for example, the BLS reported a 4.5% increase in payroll, whereas the Philadelphia Fed reported a 4.1% decline.

Such errors blatantly favoring the administration's narrative during an election year have led some lawmakers to begin questioning the reliability of BLS data. Florida Republican Sen. Rick Scott, for instance, has outright accused the Biden administration of lying about basic economic data to secure political gains.

Deutsche Bank: “A Certain Degree of Eco-Dictatorship Will Be Necessary”

Izabella Kaminska, formerly the Editor of the FT’s Alphaville and now the Editor of the Blind Spot, has flagged up an alarming passage in a document published in January 2021 by Deutsche Bank Research entitled ‘What we must do to Rebuild’. Eric Heyman has written the section about the tough choices the EU must face it if’s to meet its goal of achieving ‘climate neutrality’ by 2050 – Net Zero, in other words – and says the following:

The impact of the current climate policy on people’s everyday lives is still quite abstract and acceptable for many households. Climate policy comes in the form of higher taxes and fees on energy, which make heating and mobility more expensive. Some countries have set minimum energy efficiency standards for buildings or similar rules in other areas. However, climate policy does not determine our lives. We take key consumption decisions, for example whether we travel at all, how much we travel and which means of transport we use, whether we live in a large house or a small apartment and how we heat our homes, how many electronic devices we have and how intensely we use them or how much meat and exotic fruit we eat. These decisions tend to be made on the basis of our income, not on climate considerations.

If we really want to achieve climate neutrality, we need to change our behaviour in all these areas of life. This is simply because there are

no adequate cost-effective technologies yet to allow us to maintain our living standards in a carbon-neutral way. That means that carbon prices will have to rise considerably in order to nudge people to change their behaviour. Another (or perhaps supplementary) option is to tighten regulatory law considerably. I know that “eco-dictatorship” is a nasty word. But we may have to ask ourselves the question whether and to what extent we may be willing to accept some kind of eco-dictatorship (in the form of regulatory law) in order to move towards climate neutrality.

When he says we have to “ask ourselves… whether and to what extent we may be willing to accept some kind of eco-dictatorship” I don’t think he has a Net Zero referendum in mind. Rather, by ‘ourselves’ he means the EU’s ruling class. It has to ask itself whether it’s willing to pass laws forcing the EU’s population to modify its behaviour to meet the 2050 ‘climate neutrality’ target, regardless of whether it has a democratic mandate to do so or not.

I suppose we should be grateful that at least Heyman hasn’t tried to sugar coat this. It should be clear what “eco-dictatorship” means, even to those most reluctant to accept that Net Zero zealots have little love for democracy.

Democrat senators reintroduce bill to declare racism public health crisis

Two of the senators who reintroduced the resolution are also sponsoring a bill to establish a federal commission to study slavery reparations.

Democratic Sens. Cory Booker of New Jersey, Alex Padilla of California and Sherrod Brown of Ohio have reintroduced a Senate resolution that would "declare racism a public health crisis."

Brown and Padilla are also cosponsors of the Commission to Study and Develop Reparation Proposals for African Americans Act that would establish a federal commission to study slavery reparations. Booker, the sponsor of the reparations study bill, wrote a letter to President Biden in June calling on him to support the commission.

Brown, Booker, and then-Sen. Kamala Harris had originally introduced the legislation to deem racism a public health crisis in July 2020, and Booker and Padilla reintroduced it in April 2021 and again on Tuesday.

"We will not make progress until we acknowledge and address all of the ways that centuries of racism and oppression have harmed Black and brown Americans," said Brown in a statement. "This resolution is an important step toward recognizing the racial disparities in healthcare that have existed for far too long while also outlining concrete action we can take now to help reverse them. Though this resolution is not a solution in and of itself, it will help to lay the foundation for change that is continually subverted by and for the status quo. I am proud to join my colleagues in introducing this important resolution."

Booker echoed Brown's reasoning for declaring racism a public health crisis.

"For too long, communities of color have suffered disproportionately from countless illnesses and conditions, from maternal and infant mortality to chronic diseases," said Booker in a statement. "These health inequities are the direct result of centuries of racist policies that have disenfranchised, disinvested, and disrespected Black, Indigenous, and other communities of color. Declaring racism a public health crisis is a crucial step toward addressing the deep-rooted and systemic inequities that continue to exacerbate health disparities in our nation."

According to a press release, the resolution also serves to highlight the "effects of systemic racism on the health and wellness of communities of color, resulting in shorter life expectancy, worsened health outcomes, and enhanced exposure to harmful or dangerous environments."

The release also said the resolution "encourages concrete action to address health disparities and inequity across all sectors in society."

Netanyahu's Son Insinuates Law Enforcement Officials Should Be Executed Over Father's Trial

On his radio show, Yair Netanyahu accused the judicial system of 'a malicious coup d'état,' saying that 'everyone is welcome to read the Israeli criminal law book and look for themselves at what the punishment is. It's not imprisonment'

Yair Netanyahu, son of Prime Minister-designate Benjamin Netanyahu, said on Friday that senior prosecutors and the police "have collaborated against an innocent man who happens to be the prime minister chosen by the people of Israel," and therefore they should be tried for treason.

During his radio show on the "Galey Israel" station, Netanyahu's son added that, "what happened is a malicious coup d'état… you can say it's an insurrection, a treason; and everyone is welcome to read the Israeli criminal law book and look for themselves at what the punishment is. It's not imprisonment."

Netanyahu's son is referring to article 97 of the Israeli criminal law, according to which a person who commits a felony involving treason must be sentenced to death.

Commenting on the media frenzy regarding his statement, Netanyahu's son accused the media of character assassination, and wrote on Twitter that he didn't call for harming anyone, but only tried to emphasize the "severeness of the criminal offenses committed by the collaborators according to the Israeli criminal law book."

Last week, members of the incoming coalition linked the Netanyahu trial to the planned changes in police authority. Religious Zionism leader Bezalel Smotrich wrote on Twitter that the evidence heard recently in the trial proves again that the judicial system must be reformed. Smotrich promised that the future government will do so.

"The injustices revealed in the last few days in the Netanyahu trial prove once again the vital need to correct the Israeli legal system," Smotrich wrote on Twitter. "In our new government we'll do all in our power to make sure that the principles of our new plan, 'Law and Justice', will be implemented so no other judiciary atrocities will be allowed. Today it's Netanyahu, but tomorrow this hangman can come after anyone in the country."

The CIA is combining with the spy service of a NATO ally in Europe to conduct covert sabotage operations inside Russia, according to new claims.

The clandestine campaign is behind many unexplained explosions and fires that have hit strategic or prominent facilities in recent months, says US expert Jack Murphy, an eight-year Army Special Operations veteran.

Separately other European intelligence services have allegedly been 'running operatives into Russia to create chaos without CIA help', as has Ukraine.

His claims follow as a new fire struck a shopping mall in Krasnodar region, in southern Russia, the latest in dozens of such incidents. It comes as Putin issued another chilling warning to the West on Christmas day.

On Saturday, Twitter CEO Elon Musk appeared on the All-In podcast and said that "every conspiracy theory that people had about Twitter turned out to be true."

"Is there a conspiracy theory about Twitter that didn't turn out to be true?" Musk said. "So far they've all turned out to be true, and if not more true than people thought."

When asked "is there a part of the files that really shocked you" Musk replied that the "FBI stuff is pretty intense."

Matt Taibbi tweeted out round 1 of the Twitter files on December 2, which revealed the deliberate efforts behind-the-scenes at Twitter to censor stories around Hunter Biden's "laptop from hell at the behest of the FBI, especially FBI Supervisory Special Agent Elvis Chan.

Former head of Twitter Trust and Safety Yoel Roth was advised by Chan to falsely categorize details of Hunter Biden's business dealings from his laptop as a Russian "hack-and-dump" scheme, which the media picked up and reported, claiming it was a conspiracy theory to report otherwise.

Across the various installments of the Twitter files, especially round six, details arose detailing the collusion between the social media giant and the FBI, with Taibbi saying the government agency acted as a "subsidiary" for the company before Elon Musk's takeover.

A supplemental installment of the Twitter files on December 19 showed that the FBI pressured Twitter to find evidence of foreign influence on the platform, despite Twitter having said that what the FBI was looking for did not exist.

The hosts also said that Musk was likely not surprised "that these companies were shadow banning, although they denied it." Round 2 of the Twitter files came via Bari Weiss on December 8 and confirmed that leadership at the social media platform built blacklists and participated in shadow banning for years under the watch of Vijaya Gadde, former Twitter lead counsel. Gadde and other Twitter executives, including founder Jack Dorsey, lied about the shadow banning to the public.

In Twitter file dump on Saturday, more information was revealed on how much the FBI worked with Twitter to censor posts that were critical of the government's narrative on subjects ranging from Covid to the Ukraine.

When asked, "did you really suspect that the FBI was playing a role in flagging content for these companies to take down?" Musk said, "yeah," and noted how the posts that were flagged had "nothing to do with like, terrorism."

China calls US a ‘direct threat’ to the world

Washington is making up excuses to preserve its “hegemony,” Beijing said

Washington intentionally hypes up the “China threat” as an excuse to boost its military spending, all in an effort to maintain its global dominance, the Chinese Defense Ministry said in a statement on Saturday, after President Joe Biden signed the 2023 US National Defense Authorization Act into law.

“Facts have proved more than once that the US is the direct threat to the international order and the culprit of the regional turbulence,” said the ministry’s spokesman, Colonel Tan Kefei.

The statement went on to claim that, in pursuit of its own interests, the US on multiple occasions has “either waged wars against other countries or created conflicts, causing massive casualties and displacement of innocent civilians.”

The $858-billion US military budget for fiscal year 2023, which authorized $10 billion in security assistance and fast-tracked weapons procurement for Taiwan, is yet another in a series of provocative moves that “seriously jeopardize the peace and stability in Taiwan Strait and increase the risk of China-US military confrontation.”

The Chinese People's Liberation Army further vowed to “resolutely safeguard national reunification and territorial integrity of the country,” warning that Washington has no other choice but to “respect China’s core interests and major concerns.”

The island of Taiwan has been self-governed since 1949, but never officially declared independence from Beijing, while China views it as part of its One-China territory. Tensions between Beijing and Taipei have been high since the visit of US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan in August.

Washington must drop its “old trick of unilateral bullying” that it plays with Beijing, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in a phone call earlier this week. “It has not worked with China in the past, nor will it work in the future.”

The War on Christmas is a war on America

Whatever unites us, the left is against

The left hates Christmas because it hates all expressions of faith in our society. On a deeper level, however, the War on Christmas is a war on America.

In many ways, Christmas is as much an American holiday as a Christian holiday. (No trees or tinsel in Bethlehem.) Today, only 63% of Americans call themselves Christians, while 93% celebrate Christmas. In other words, almost a third of those who celebrate Christmas are non-Christians.

More than Thanksgiving, Memorial Day or the Fourth of July, Christmas unites us as a people.

Anything that brings Americans together, the left fears — like the flag, the national anthem and statues of our heroes.

This is reflected in the push to get Christmas trees out of public parks and libraries (which have no problem celebrating Pride Month and having “drag queen story hour”) and the holy war against holiday decorations in schools and other public places. Sales staff risk life and limb by wishing customers a “merry Christmas.”

The mainstream media tries to gaslight us by telling us the War on Christmas was invented by conservative groups to raise money and mobilize the base.

You really can’t make this stuff up.

The King County, Washington, Human Rights Commission has banned Christmas and Hanukkah decorations from the workplaces of county employees — including virtual workplaces. Even holiday-themed clothing is verboten.

“Some employees may not share your religion, practice any religion, or share your enthusiasm for holiday decorations,” a memo from the commission explains. This exquisite sensitivity applies only to religious holidays. Everyone must take part in Pride Month and do homage to Black Lives Matter.

On the other side of the continent, the War on Christmas has taken a nasty turn.

The Needham, Massachusetts, Public Library decided it would break 28 years of tradition by not displaying a Christmas tree this year, because unnamed people said that last year, the evergreen made them “feel uncomfortable.” What, they thought the Tannenbaum would assault them, or try to convert them to Christianity?
