Voting is outed now as a failed mechanism in choosing representation for governance. “Candidates” promote themselves in the primary process making noises about what they intend doing with no method to confirm veracity of their utterances. The voting contest selects the most charismatic of the narcissists and sociopaths wanting the position. The ones most convincingly able to say whatever it takes win the fair election, and no election happens without fraud.

A superior method for selecting representation would be achieved through mandated testing of all citizens for qualities determined as best to represent and serve the group being represented.

I would envision a series/battery of tests. Not merely for intelligence either. Honesty. Selflessness. Mental endurance and stamina. Maintenance of even keel under pressure. Yes, cheating would be a potential problem. Those most qualified assessed by additional beta-testing to confirm. Voting just hasn’t served this society well. Must be some better way.
