Fact is many celebrities hawk goods and services they don't use.

Bottom line always has been and always will be caveat emptor.

>Petrodollar was tried it failed,

Gold is backed by gold. Nothing more required.

In a nutshell. The petrodollar is misnamed and misinforming by it's name. The petrodollar has nothing to do with "backed by oil". The petrodollar was a deal that USA military would defend SA if they promised to settle all oil trade with USA dollars vs other currencies including gold. Thereby giving the USA $trillions in advantaged.

>My problem with the gold standard is it requires auditing. I don't trust central banks.

Me too. We've all been damaged by these Central Banks which are nothing but private banks. Removing them for good is a must in any new currency form otherwise we'll be back to where we are now.

If we had honest people we could survive with a currency backed by pork bellies.
