I think SGF was to be "saved" for the elites to build up, after HRC's Global Thermonuclear war. It's just far enough from Whiteman and other targets to not suffer too badly.
Also, there's $2B worth of cheese, stored by the gov't for emergencies, in caves under Springfield.
That's the one with the huge "bomb-proof" concrete additive lawsuit, right? Guy "invented" an additive, and this house was supposed to showcase how awesome it was, but his contractor stole the additive, and resold it, instead of putting in in the mix.
