Anon, a lot of what you say has truth in it but consider this, if you are 45 years old with a family of 4, 5, 6 and you are still working one of these mindless, busywork, minimum wage jobs that for all intent and purposes, are first time job opportunities for a high school student, then you have made some very bad and erronious life decisions. This person either squandered opportunities or did not find something that they loved to do that could be transformed into a living, or, was just too fucking lazy to get up off their asses, develop a good work ethic and make something of themselves. I worked my fucking ass off for decades doing what I loved to do and it paid off no matter what kind of system someone wants to define "this" system as being. The fact of the matter is, if you work hard, apply yourself and never settle for less then anyone can succeed. If I can do it, anyone can. I am debt free except for my home and I could pay that off today if I wanted to, I never lived beyond my means, I have always been able to save money no matter how much money I made and little by little, made it happen. I understand the sham that has been perpetrated on all of us by the US Inc.(s) but it never stopped me and 100's of millions of other people.

Well, that theory is not theory anon. It is fact. Provably so. But I understand waht you are saying and of course not everyone is the same or comes from the same environment etc……..There have been many who absolutely came from the worst environment thinkable…………..and succeeded. It all starts with an intact family, God and a real education. All facets of a civil society that the left has toiled for a 100 years to destroy. If there is a plausible answer and solution, this is it.
I can't possibly know what your health or the lack thereof has dictated to you and many others for that matter but you do have a mind, a will, a soul. All of that is a pretty damn good start. I get what you're saying anon and I know what works for one, will not for another all the time but the prniciple(s) are universal. Working hard in and of itself, will not guarantee success. You've also got to work smart.
I bet you have a skill that I don't. I would proffer that there are things you can do that I would be in awe of. The foundation for any succeess is motivation and desire. Sounds contrite, but nonetheless, true. If one is motivated to do something, a way will be found to do it. This is not a one size fits all solution and as I stated above, a foundation of family, education and God is prefered but, just two of the three will also work. God being one of the main ingredients.
Okay, I'll get off the soapbox now but anon, I've stated some irrefutable truths. Bad decisions are tempoary. I've made many. Once you find that something doesn't work, you set about finding what does adhereing to those truths of life. Higher education is one of the primary reasons we find ourselves in the untenable position as a nation today. Hold the line anon. Never give in, never give up. You know the old adage, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going". No truer words ever said.
