just another consequence of covid
more companies need to start taking this stance
if we are ever to have a working population again
try this QR page, it's on the catalog
post-covid, now more then in past, people are abusing the "i'm sick" to avoid work and still get paid
not that hard to understand the motivation of a country full of workless marxists
bc this is the system as it stands right now, people work to earn money to pay debts. otherwise, your neighbor pays your debts. when people consistently lie to avoid paying their debts, we continue in a vicious cycle.
there is purpose, ethics, character-building values in process of "work".
give to God what is God's, give to caesar what is caesar's
was this situation done to you/us?
or were you/we all willing participants?
chicken or egg conundrum
we are all guilty of destroying America.
i just don't share the opinion that using socialism/communism or any other handout to fix it is the way, even in the immediate time, when i just want to rebel against a corrupt system
> If your slave is sick
this is the point that i was referring to
otherwise, i agree with your points
>Sometimes handouts are also good depending on context of course.
i've thought about this a lot, actually. and, i wonder - what's to come? i suspect a "gesara" -type of reparations is comingโฆ.where will it come from? who will offer it? will i accept it? is it "mine" to begin with - meaning, did i earn it, but it was stolen, and given to others?
certainly, it will be tempting. but, i think i need to think it through with less emotion and more rationality and move my gaze, where i place my focus, and, as such, to what i give my idolism
just my opine
>I worked my fucking ass off for decades doing what I loved to do and it paid off no matter what kind of system someone wants to define "this" system as being.
^^^^this^^^^
do what you love, doesn't feel like "work"
i work for myself and for others, but i put in a lot of time, effort, and sweat to earn my stripes
