A prominent youth LGBTQ charity in the UK has recommended itself for police investigation over historical accusations of grooming and the sexual exploitation of children.

LGBT Youth Scotland has previously faced a child sexual abuse scandal, with the former chief executive of the charity, James Rennie, being convicted in 2009 of being a ringleader in one of Scotlandโ€™s largest ever paedophile networks. The group claimed that his crimes were committed outside of the charity, however.

LGBT Youth Scotland has revealed that it had referred itself to Police Scotland after โ€œnew allegationsโ€ emerged against the charity after two men came forward to claim that they had been abused by members of the group when they were children.

 

One man said that he had sought out the charity as a 13-year-old to seek support for being homosexual. He alleged that rather than acting as a support system, LGBT Youth Scotland was โ€œmore like a social network to connect older men with teenagersโ€.

Riverside County, California โ€” On Saturday, November 12, 2022, about 3:30 PM, a deputy from the Cabazon Sheriffโ€™s Station conducted a traffic enforcement stop of a male suspect on Carmen Avenue west of Rafael Street in Cabazon. The suspect, 38-year-old Wallis Kenneth Scott, was riding a bicycle on the wrong side of the street and known to have a felony arrest warrant for a violation of parole.

 

Scott was uncooperative with the deputy and attempted to flee the scene on his bicycle. The deputy tried to detain Scott, but Scott removed a large knife from his pocket and a deputy involved shooting occurred. Scott was shot and fell to the ground.
