Between charging cost, battery replacement cost and cold weather issues SMH why ppl buy this crap.

Tesla Model S Cold Charging Issue Leaves Owner Stuck On Christmas Eve

When he tried to charge his Model S, the car kept telling him it was warming up the battery for hours.

Charging an electric vehicle can be trickier in winter when temperatures drop significantly, with the main problems being frozen charging port doors, lower charging speeds and more frequent charging due to EVsโ€™ lower cold weather range. Owners should also do their best to precondition the carโ€™s battery for charging so that it is at an optimal temperature when itโ€™s plugged in.

We sold our second car at the market high last year.

The cost of ownership after resale was about 2k a year for a sportscar after 8 yrs of ownership.

Our primary truck's cost of ownership is under 2k a year we have had it 12yrs still like new.

When we go on extended vacations our uber cost is only a few hundred a month.

I don't think ppl do math anymore.

St. Croix is a shithole. Visited friends several times. Frederiksted is a scenic shithole. Christiansted is a tourist shithole.

The only good thing about St Croix is conch fritters and Tropical rum drinks, Crucian Confusion, or painkillers.

I bought a two 5 gal home depot buckets and filled it with knorrs, peanut butter, and canned albacore. for about a hundo each. it's enough for several months for two ina pinch. We rotate it during power outages in hurricane season. and donate some of it every year so it stays pretty fresh. You don't need to spend a fortune on prep boxes.
