I am also interested in this church's possible connection to Solomon, the Queen of Sheba (Queen of the South ???) and the Rastafarians whose Abrahamic traditions go back through the Ethopian emperor Haile Selassie, whom they believed to be the Lion of Judah incarnate.
There are many who believe that the Ark of the Covenant is housed in this church.
However, according to 2 Maccabees 2, Jeremiah hid the ark in the same "Mountain of God" (Sinai/Horeb/Nebo ???) that Moses received the commandments from. His helpers lost the location that it was sealed upon to which Jeremiah replied “The place shall be unknown until God gathers his people together again and shows his mercy."

Also if anon is interested, I implore you to spend $10 a month and check out what the remote viewers are finding at the Farsight Institute. They perform work on the Ark of the Covenant including viewing it's current state. They found that it is currently in an inconspicuous location in a war-torn area (some say this is Syria but many locations in Africa could be the case as well). The African argument is also supplemented by the possibility that the Pharoah Shishak could have taken it when attacking Solomon's son Rehoboam.
