Amharic is the lingua franca of Ethiopia. The Church Bible is translated from the Septuagint. It is two linguistic generations from the original Hebrew. Translating to English would make it less reliable. Just go back to the Hebrew without the vocalizations added about 600 AD.

BTW Ancient Hebrew cannot be translated, but must be absorbed.

The first word of Ge 1:1 is bereshit בראשית and is generally translated 'in the beginning'.

However, because of notarikon it is understood as:

'In the beginning [God] created six' ברא-שית.

'In the beginning the Son was totally devoted' בר-אשי-ת.

'In the beginning there was a covenant with man at the heart' בר(אש)ית .

'A revelation to man ב It is revealed ר that God spoke and created the heavens and the earth א his word did not return void ש his creation י was finished when his revelation produced a new life ת.

In English when you say 'dog' you understand many things from that symbol. It is no different in Hebrew. You must understand many things from 'bereshit'.
