Important key points:

1. Water… Most important is water. Consider if power fails how you will get water.

2. Fuel… For those not on solar have a generator or a basic plan. Think about fuel. And spare parts. Gas station pumps dont pump without electricity.

3. Food. Is easy to store. But your fridge only runs as long as generator does. So plan for that if you aren't solar off grid.

4. For those who have solar. 99 percent of grid tie systems will not work on a sunny day without grid being active.

5. Defense. Don't advertise your preppyness. Or you will be killing a lot of people or starving after they take your shit.

6. Remember this: a stalled car has batteries and/or fuel. Have a way to get this if you live in city.

7. Communicate by 2way radio, or at least plan to. Cell towers only run for a few days at most on generator also.
