Of course they were genetic tests! That is directly the reason for using them- to look for a segment of genetic material. However, which segments were being looked for and whether or not they sequenced more than just "COVID" is another matter.

Children who actually catch measles are likely to have better long term health than those who get "vaccinated". If a child has good vitamin status (Vitamin A, as I recall) I believe they are at low risk of needing the hospital.
