China could claim the moon as its own territory and BAN US astronauts from touching down, NASA boss warns - as the two countries battle in new space race to land on the lunar surface again

January 1, 2023

A chief at NASA is raising red flags over China's ambitions to get to the moon.

In a new interview, NASA Administrator Bill Nelson says he and others within the scientific agency are growing increasingly concerned over what the country plans to do when they make it to the moon.

Nelson believes China could attempt to corner the market on resource-rich locations on the moon's surface and try to block out the U.S. and other countries looking to make it to the lunar object.

'There is potentially mischief China can do on the moon,' said one other official monitoring the 'space race.'

>why 6

There's 7, counting the one beside Bennie:

Anon was clueless, found this from 2014:

What do they represent and signify? Why are there 6?

From what I’ve heard (long ago), they represent the menorah, with Christ (the Crucifix) as the center light.

During a Pontifical High Mass, there are actually seven candles. During a Low Mass, only two candles are lit, and during a Pontifical Low Mass, four candles are lit.

Of the candles on the altar, two must be of pure wax. At a high Mass, at least six candles must be used. A sanctuary lamp of oil is kept burning day and night whenever the Blessed Sacrament is in the Tabernacle. For a Requiem Mass the white candles are replaced by waxed candles of a rose/lavender or grayish hue. This includes the floor candles around the bier at a Burial Mass.

Why do you light a white candle when someone dies?

Keeping a light burning in remembrance signifies that the memory still lives on and burns bright. It is a ritual that promotes reflection and signifies remembrance. It can betraced back to ancient pagan ritesand the beginning of Christianity, as we know it.

Why is there six candles on the altar for the Catholic Church?

A Counter-Reformation Roman practice was to use six candles. The use of candelabra in place of the traditional two solitary candles is a Protestant show of emotion. The candle representing the Epistle is lit first, followed by the candle representing the Gospel. The candles are then extinguished in the opposite order.

Anon only got as far as First Communion so…
