Accused Idaho killer Bryan Kohberger previously studied under an academic who is a serial killer expert.
Kohberger, who was a graduate student at Washington State University's Department of Criminal Justice and Criminology at the time of the killings, also studied criminology during his time at DeSales University in Center Valley, Pa.
It was there that he studied under Dr. Katherine Ramsland, a forensic psychologist who has spent decades researching serial killers and mass murderers. She appeared on NewsNation in October to discuss the Delphi case.
She is known for having developed a close relationship with the serial killer Dennis Rader, more commonly known as BTK.
In an exclusive interview, Rader's daughter, Kerri Rawson, spoke to NewsNation's Brian Entin.
"It's hard to be the kid of this guy and live with this," she said, choking back tears. "You know? And then see somebody else go do this and wonder did your dad influence this? Did your dad talk to him? Was he studying my father outside of academics? Am I ever going to get answers to that, I don't know."
So far, Ramsland is not discussing the case publicly. "I cannot make media statements about him at this time," she said.
The public defender representing Kohberger told Entin that his dad went out to Idaho and drove back with him to Penssyvalnia in the White Hyundai Elantra sought by police in mid-December.

Gigi Jordan, the millionaire pharmaceutical executive convicted of manslaughter in the death of her 8-year-old son, was found dead inside her Brooklyn home in what cops are investigating as a possible suicide, The Post has learned.
Her body was found around 12:30 a.m. Friday at her apartment in in Stuyvesant Heights, according to sources — just hours after US Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor issued an order that was expected to send Jordan, 62, back to prison.
The cause of death has yet to be determined, but sources said a note was found at the scene.
It marks what may be the final chapter in a long tale full of bizarre twists and turns.
Jordan was accused of force-feeding her autistic son, Jude Mirra, a lethal dose of pills in February 2010 inside a luxury suite at the Peninsula Hotel.
During a strange six-week trial, Jordan’s defense lawyers argued she killed the boy while in a state of extreme emotional disturbance, fearing he was about to be murdered by her ex-husband.

This week, longtime wrestling announcer Don West passed away following a battle with cancer.
West, 59, was best known for his work as a wrestling commentator. He worked for NewsRadio 560 KPQ in Seattle and also did work as the color commentator for TNA Wrestling.
His death was announced this weekend.

Trump is right about the pro-lifers.
I know some.
Even after Trump proved to be the most pro-life president ever and did more for the movement that they could do in a million years, they don't like him because of his tweets.
They are just stupid people who don't want to think very hard because if they do, then the world as they know it crumbles.
