In medicine, both homeopathic and pharmaceutical, you can usually find the best treatment for whatever the condition is when you admit what the condition is first and study it.
I agree it was a fuck up, perhaps more descriptively a weird escalation of commitment to the wrong messaging, and likely had disastrous effect with casualties among people who I wouldn't disparage as discardable, but there's kind of a blurrly line between the "trump was the biggest proponent of the vaxx, it counters the rest of his legacy" crowd and the "trump told people to drink bleach" crowd… and they're all on the same side of the curve…
I never took the vaxx, my kids never took the vaxx, 9/10 trump supporters i talk to IRL say the same.. its a legit call-out, but also a slide imo.
