>SCJ's who vote nay, taken down.

This is delusional. What is scheduled for 1/6 is a simple weekly conference. The court has three conference days on their calendar this month. Conferences are routine meetings where, among other things, the justices discuss petitions for hearings. If four or more justices agree the petitioners are granted a hearing at a later date.

>would regulation NFL pads prevent a blow sufficient to cause commotio cordis?

If commotio cordis was a legitimate concern for NFL players the pads would already be designed to mitigate the risk. The fact that the pads in the NFL are not designed with chest impact protection indicates clearly that that there is little to no history of NFL players, college players, or even recreational players succumbing to commotio cordis.
