Baking Update
We have a new baker, we call him marathon baker because he likes to bake for long stretches.
Before he baked, as anon, he became very pushy with nomming and pushed some strange notables, enough so that admins and other bakers noticed. Looked shilly.
Anons said if he wanted the noms, he should bake. So he did. Seems like an experienced baker from the past.
M baker is a decent baker but there are problems:

First, he does not want to let other bakers bake even after 14 hours.

Will never give up the bread unless forced – this is why we have new "rules" for bakers about offering the bread more often – see Globals.

Won't give it up even when offering baker may only be able to bake at a certain time of day (e.g., morning shift)

M baker does not really comply with new rules, forcing bakers to demand the bread instead of ask for it)

Does not ask for handoffs when leaving, just ghosts, even during daytime shifts.

When anons offer to retrieve PB notables, he says they can but "I might not use it." Two times so far afaik. Nobody's going to go to the trouble of gathering notes when baker says that. IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, PLEASE POST IN META.

When notables were collected, baker did not acknowledge them or put them in the dough. Had to be asked by BV. CAP.
So far, no baker has ever been banned other than OSS.
M baker is not banned either.
But rules are in place that only he requires.
At this point, seems fair to alert anons to the situation.
We always need bakers but never enough to let one be a bull in a china shop.
