Henry VIII got pissed off at the Vatican, killed the Roman Catholic clergy burned their cathedrals and took back all the land they owned in England from centuries of indulgences. Also allowed him to nullify several unsuccessful marriages and set himself up as both head of state and head of church at the same time. I think Jesus fits in there somewhere too.
