The stars of 1968's 'Romeo and Juliet' are suing over the nude scene they filmed when they were just 15 and 16 years old. Olivia Hussey, 71, and Leonard Whiting, 72, filed a lawsuit Friday in Santa Monica Superior Court accusing the studio of sexual harassment, fraud, sexual abuse, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Hussey and Whiting say director Franco Zeffirelli originally told them there would not be any nudity in the film but on the last day of filming, he allegedly said the film 'would fail' unless they performed a scene nude while wearing body makeup. The pair are seeking damages 'believed to be in excess of 500 million.'

Drugstores, such as CVS and Walgreens, can now fulfill abortion pills prescriptions as long as it meets certain requirements, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has ruled.
On Tuesday, the FDA made a regulatory change for the first abortion pill - mifepristone - which now allows retail and mail-in pharmacies to fulfill prescriptions as long as it goes through a certification process, Politico reported.
Roughly one-half of abortions are completed using the two-pill system.
Mifepristone blocks the pregnancy development hormone and is prescribed up to 13 weeks of pregnancy. Misoprostol causes the uterus to contract to expel the tissue. The second pill, which is taken up to 48 hours after the first one, has never been tightly restricted.
Since the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June 2022, travel times for those seeking abortions have tripled, especially in states with tight restrictions.

Wisconsin art leader accused of faking Native American heritage

The co-owner of a queer Indigenous artists’ collective in Wisconsinis facing accusations of being white after claiming to hold Native American heritage, according to a report.
Kay LeClaire, who identifies as non-binary, allegedly faked their indigenous heritage and used the front to make money, according to a local outlet.
LeClaire was accused in an online forum of actually being white after claiming since 2017 they were of Metis, Oneida, Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Cuban and Jewish heritage, Madison 365 reported on Tuesday.
LeClaire, also a founding member of the collective and emerging leader in the Madison Indigenous arts community, earned artist stipends, a paid residency at the University of Wisconsin, speaking gigs, and art exhibitions with the help of their Native American claim.
But LeClaire, who went by the Native American name nibiiwakamigkwe, was allegedly exposed after a hobbyist genealogist posted evidence of LeClair’s real genealogy on an online forum, Madison 365 reported. The online forum user, AdvancedSmite, told Madison 365 that questions about LeClaire’s claims led to some digging.

Rescue teams used ropes to rappel down the slope carrying Jaws of Life with them to breach the door, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
They were not expecting to find anyone alive inside the vehicle and were surprised whenthey found all four people alive and conscious inside.
At that point, the crews worked to the children from the car first, KTVU reports, and were able to hoist them up to the road with ropes. Once back on land, they were put on stretchers and assessed for any injuries.
But authorities still had to rescue the parents — and needed air support to do so.
