Fox is told there is a very good chance the House may just meet at 8 pm et and then recess again until later – if not until tomorrow. However, it’s possible Democrats and the GOP dissidents could force votes.

By rule, the House is supposed to keep voting.

From one senior House GOP member about the timeout:

“This is therapeutic,” said the senior Republican. “We need to figure out who did what to do who and who said what to who.”

Fox is told that the McCarthy camp through that members would begin to break toward him today. But that never happened.

So back to the adjournment until 8 pm…

“This just gives us some breathing space,” said one Republican source.

U.S. DOJ to seize $465 million of Robinhood shares tied to Bankman-Fried

U.S. prosecutors are in the process of seizing shares of Robinhood Markets Inc (HOOD.O) tied to Sam Bankman-Fried, who has been charged with fraud in the collapse of the FTX cryptocurrency exchange, a U.S. attorney told a judge on Wednesday.

The Department of Justice did not believe the 56 million shares of Robinhood, worth about $465 million, were property of a bankruptcy estate, U.S. attorney Seth Shapiro told U.S. Bankruptcy Judge John Dorsey, who is overseeing the FTX bankruptcy.
