Anon has puzzled over why more freshman congressman don't up and resign when they are first approached to be corrupted, and realize how deep it goes.

Are they not allowed to bow out?

Or is it because they won their election by corruption, so are corrupt already?

A principled person would just remove themselves.

No sir, I have no apology for you. I will speak to you with respect in view of your position, but it is not on your account, but to honor a pair of nobody long gone elders, who said very little, but who worked theirself to the bone to have what little they had and passed on to me "always respect your elders and those in high places." Any civility which I extend to you, sir, is out of respect for them, NOT (YOU.)

You, sir, are not worthy to unlace their shoe. As with most of your kind in Congress. No, I have no apology for you.

>Why is Federal Gov’t allowed to own land?

>This is OUR country.

>We should be drilling for oil wherever we want.

Anon is of two minds on this.

As one who's family had a very valuable piece of land taken by the government to make a preserve, I agree on one hand. My ancestor saved the money to buy it by hing rail ties by hand and selling to the railroad, and truck farming.

Anon's family had very bitter feelings and cussed the government til they died.

But, on the other hand, many years out, I can see what has happened to all the land not taken in the preserve. Human greed has led to clear cutting and pine replant and the hardwoods are almost gone. Or sometimes just straight clear cut with no replant. Or the topsoil sold, making the land worthless. It's a sad thing.

We would not have the national park system as well, which anon enjoys greatly.
