Some drugs a child is exposed to en utero, cause physiological brain alterations that make certain drugs (like for adhd), not work. It’s pretty complicated but the fact remains that many kids through time and therapy can grow up to function pretty well and through their future actions, break the cycle. The mind is such an amazing thing.

>is to make MAGA as a mental illness

I don’t doubt that.. prob the same group using “maga patriots” to tie into and link to fake violence and gun talk.

If any anons out there have kids, pls try other things before visiting a dr, or psych. Psychology is marginally ok but ya gotta watch closely. The last thing you should do is blindly slap your child on meds just because a dr gave you a fancy label. All that does is set them up for major issues. Some parents want the easy route (meds, special IEP, etc) and for severe cases yes. But in my experience, many children are loosely diagnosed due to pressure from the parents.

We all have varying degrees of “normal” and the key is to shape and harness the positives. Those ‘bothersome’ traits a child exhibits may be useful in their future years, such as laser focus or thinking outside of the box.

I suspect many of us have these traits. :)

Yes. I’ve worked with people like that. One could recite a phone number in a book, after having looked at the book quickly once, yet physical touch would send him screeching and flapping into a corner. He was gainfully employed in a mall info desk for years. Solitary and happy!
