The only people who don't have rights in the US are Prisoners, under the 8th Amendment, and somehow, members of the military, under the UCMJ. Be very careful with underestimating how much life sucks when you get a face full of "The Needs of the Service Come First, always." You exist to generate statistics for someone else's promotion. Good statistics or Bad Statistics are irrelevant, someone is gonna ride your ass to another stripe.
Failing to put the needs of the service first can end in things worse than prison. Service before self, always, because you have no self.
