U.S. Attorney Reviewing Classified Documents from Bidenâs Vice Presidency Found at Think Tank
âClassifiedâ documents from Joe Bidenâs vice presidency have been discovered at a think tank affiliated with the current president. It is the same alleged âcrimeâ that triggered that FBIâs Mar-a-Lago on former President Donald Trump.
As reported by CBS News, the documents have prompted a âreviewâ from a U.S. attorneyâs office.
âAttorney General Merrick Garland has assigned the U.S. attorney in Chicago to review classified documents found at the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement in Washington,â CBS News reported, based on confidential sources. âThe roughly 10 documents are from President Bidenâs vice-presidential office at the center, the sources said. CBS News has learned the FBI is also involved in the U.S. attorneyâs inquiry.â
âThe classified material was identified by personal attorneys for Mr. Biden on Nov. 2, just before the midterm elections, Richard Sauber, special counsel to the president confirmed,â the report added.
The documents were discovered when Bidenâs personal attorneys âwere packing files housed in a locked closet to prepare to vacate office space at the Penn Biden Center in Washington, D.C.,â Sauber said in a statement to CBS News.
