If you watch the animated map over three months, the whole of Antarctica is completely mapped around the 11th of March, 2018.
After that, the satellite photographic coverage progressively disappears to nothing until you have a big hole (19 June 2018).
So presumably the civilian satellite(s) were moved?
Perhaps to give cover to an operation going on down there now?
