Look at David L. Cohen (Comcast, now Amb to Canada). He's been a long-time fundraiser for Biden, and was on the board of Penn until he became ambassador.
Sure. Guy is an asshole. Trust me on this.

Pennâs new home in Washington
Former Vice President Joe Biden has spent a lot of time with Vladimir Putin.
One quite contentious meeting together lasted five hours, Biden recalled. At one point, he remembered coming face-to-face with the Russian leader and saying, admittedly unorthodox, âYou have no soul.â
âI wasnât being derogative,â Biden said. âI wasnât saying Iâve got a button bigger than your button. I let him know I understand himâŚbut letâs find a place where there is mutual interest. He looked at me and said, âYou understand me, we understand each other, so letâs move from there.â"
Penn President Amy Gutmann at the opening of the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement
A particular anecdote Biden has referred to over the years, itâs one that speaks volumes to something heâs learned throughout his long, successful political career: âAll politics is personal in the conduct of foreign policy.â
Whether friend or foe, Bidenâs work has connected him to every recent major world leader. Itâs this breadth of experience and incomparable ability that informs the new Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement.
Acting as the Universityâs home in Washington, D.C., Penn President Amy Gutmann, speaking at the Centerâs official opening on Thursday, Feb. 8., said, âThe unmatched personal connections Joe Biden has with world leaders is equally important to our students, our faculty, policymakers, and the work of this new Center. And itâs equally important because it is absolutely essential in furthering diplomacy and global engagement that is needed to advance the world order.â
Our nationâs need, the worldâs need, is to understand the power of connectivity and the power of communicating across divides. And this jibes perfectly, not surprisingly, with the historic mission of the University of Pennsylvania.
Penn President Amy Gutmann
The fresh, high-tech space at 101 Constitution Ave., N.W., is just steps from the nationâs Capitol, and is meant to be a site for debate and discussion, especially for those involved in foreign policy. Also, to Bidenâs particular joy, itâs only a few blocks from the Amtrak hub Union Station.
Joe Biden, the University's Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor
âI want this Center to be a gathering place,â said Biden, whoâs also been named Pennâs Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor. âI want this to be a place where ideas are exchanged, where people come and disagree with us, as well as agree with us.â
And Gutmann made clear the Centerâs goals for the Penn community.
âOur students and our faculty come from all around the world, from every state in the United States of America, they come from all different religious backgrounds, all different ethnicities and races, all different ideological perspectives, but they want to understand one another and they are hungry for the kind of understanding, for the kind of educational diplomacy, and the kind of political diplomacy that this Center represents,â she said. âOur nationâs need, the worldâs need, is to understand the power of connectivity and the power of communicating across divides. And this jibes perfectly, not surprisingly, with the historic mission of the University of Pennsylvania.â

The Thursday afternoon eventââthe second-largest Philadelphia gathering of the day,â joked David L. Cohen, Penn Trusteesâ chairmanâincluded a ribbon cutting and hourlong, free-range discussion between Biden and NBC News Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent Andrea Mitchell, a Penn alumna and Trustee emerita, and also this yearâs featured Commencement speaker.

Biden nominates Comcast executive and Philly power broker David Cohen as ambassador to Canada
WASHINGTON â President Joe Biden is nominating Comcast executive and top political fund-raiser David L. Cohen to serve as his ambassador to Canada, the White House said Wednesday. Heâs also naming Victoria Kennedy, an attorney and the widow of Sen. Ted Kennedy, to serve as his ambassador to Austria.
Cohenâs international departure would continue his trajectory as a master of behind-the-scenes politicking in increasingly broad arenas.
He was chief of staff when Ed Rendell was Philadelphia mayor, helping pull the city away from the brink of bankruptcy in the early 1990s. Cohen has been a fixture in Philadelphiaâs political, business, philanthropic, and educational worlds ever since, later becoming an executive vice president of Comcast. He was one of Bidenâs top âbundlersâ of campaign donations, and his Mount Airy home became a regular fund-raising stop for former President Barack Obama and then Biden.
Cohen also became a consummate Washington insider for Comcast, leading high-stakes efforts such as securing regulatory approval for the companyâs acquisition of NBCUniversal.
He has stepped back from his role at Comcast, transitioning from executive vice president to senior adviser to CEO Brian Roberts.
Cohen said in a statement that, if confirmed, he would look to grow âwhat is a very strong and important relationship as we continue to fight the pandemic and build our economies back stronger.â
Canada announced this week that it would ease restrictions at the border next month, allowing U.S. citizens and permanent residents living in the United States who are fully vaccinated to enter without quarantining. The U.S. government on Wednesday extended the closure of the land borders with Canada and Mexico to non-essential travelers until at least Aug. 21.
Sen. Pat Toomey (R., Pa.) hailed Cohenâs nomination as âan outstanding decisionâ by Biden.
âDavidâs global business acumen and decades of experience on the world stage will undoubtedly serve him well in this important role,â Toomey said.

This happened in 2021. David L. Cohen worked for Comcast and used to shake everyone down for donations to his PAC. He was a huge fundraiser for Democratic candidates, such as Gov. Rendell, Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden. He went on to University of Pennsylvania, and was there when they opened the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement . Once Biden was elected, Cohen became the US Ambassador to Canada. Remember, Philadelphia is less than 30 minutes from Biden's home. Philadelphia is a huge political machine. Cohen worked directly with Brian Roberts of Comcast Corporation for many many years. With Biden, the political machine in Philadelphia is vital.
Victimâs Testimony Reveals Establishment-Connected East Coast Trafficking Network
Allegations of sex abuse that began with Harvey Weinstein on the West Coast have incrementally shifted towards facets of the political, economic and media spheres of the U.S. Eastern seaboard. A surge in public willingness to come to terms with the stark reality of abuse perpetrated by members of the establishment suggests that it is time to re-examine the testimony of survivors who have previously come forward with allegations.
Disobedient Media spoke with Greg Bucceroni, a survivor of sex trafficking, who described his experiences in an alleged child sex ring in the late 1970âs and early 1980âs that primarily targeted troubled young boys on the East Coast. The network was said to be comprised of known human traffickers, abusers and producers of child pornography with ties to organized crime who openly associated with prominent political figures, including some who have been accused of indiscretions in the past.
While Bucceroni [pictured below] has been attacked by certain media outlets for his statements in 2012, Disobedient Mediaâs investigation into his claims found them to be highly credible. Bucceroniâs assertions are corroborated by media reports, emails published by Wikileaks, FBI documentation of mafia activity and testimony from a congressional committee hearing obtained through Freedom of Information Act requests.
Despite Bucceroniâs previous press interviews regarding his claims of abuse, a large portion of what Disobedient Media learned from him has never before been made public. Bucceroniâs story is particularly significant because his allegations reveal the intersection of political clout, organized crime and a systematic abuse of children that transcends political affiliation.
Mr. Bucceroniâs statements to Disobedient Media and other outlets ultimately provide a narrative of vulnerable youth who were sexually targeted by wealthy philanthropists, politicians and organized crime networks, often through charitable institutions.
Disobedient Media is the first outlet to confirm a connection between Bucceroniâs testimony and a nationwide criminal enterprise that trafficked underage sex workers and produced child pornography. This particular network was documented in 1982 by the New York State Select Committee On Crime. The committeeâs report covers the time period in which Bucceroni describes being trafficked. After reviewing additional FBI documents, Disobedient Media can validate significant claims made by Bucceroni, and raise serious questions regarding currently active members of the political establishment.
Bucceroni initially gained public attention after his testimony was published by the New York Daily News, in 2012. The outletâs report describes Bucceroniâs claims that he was a âchild prostituteâ associated with a pedophile ring that included former Philadelphia businessman, Ed Savitz, philanthropist Samuel Rappaport, former Penn State coach, Jerry Sandusky, Coach Phil Foglietta, and former Wharton School of Business professor, Lawrence Scott Ward. Ward is currently serving a prison sentence for trafficking in child porn and smuggling photos and videos of himself having sex with a teenage Brazilian boy. Others involved with the abuse, according to Bucceroni, included Dennis Hastert, Lawrence King, and even former DNC Chair, Ed Rendell among others.

Ed Rendell Child Sex Ring ????
Ed Rendell Child Sex Ring ???? â Influential ZeroHedge.com has linked to a story claiming that former Pennsylvania Gov. Ed Rendell is connected to child sex trafficking.
Rendell has also served as Philadelphia district attorney, Philadelphia mayor, and chairman of Democrat National Committee. He is a noted backer of Hillary Clinton.
The story by Elizabeth Vos and William Craddick of Disobedient Media is based on an interview with Philadelphia native Greg Bucceroni.
Bucceroni was a child prostitute in the late 1970âs and early 1980âs. He worked for a ring led by notorious pedophile Ed Savitz.
Bucceroni says that as D.A., Rendell knew what Savitz was doing and ignored it. Further, he says that Rendellâs removal of children from Haiti after the 2010 earthquake was part of a human trafficking scheme.
We questioned the governorâs action at the time but came up with an entirely different motive.
Bucceroni also accuses David L Cohen, who was Rendellâs chief of staff as mayor, of being a pedophile.
âAnother Savitz connected pedophile was Ed Rendellâs good pal Comcast CEO David Cohen,â Bucceroni said in a Jan. 2, 2014 tweet.
Actually, Cohen, is a senior executive vice president of Comcast and the companyâs chief diversity officer
Bucceroni says that among those with whom he had contact were Lawrence King of the Franklin Credit Union scandal , Jerry Sandusky and Congressman Dennis Hastert.
Bucceroni says King would âtake kids from the South Philly Boys Club to Washington D.C.â for sexual abuse.

Victim Claims Sandusky Sex Scandal Connected to Philadelphia Pedophile Network
On November 11, 2011, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania radio talk show host Mark Madden dropped a bombshell during an appearance on Bostonâs WEEI when he told radio talk show hosts John Dennis and Gerry Callahan, âI hear thereâs a rumor that there will be a more shocking development from the The Second Mile (TSM)âand hold on to your stomachs, boys, this is grossâthat Jerry Sandusky and the Second Mile were pimping out young boys to rich donors.â
Now, further evidence that Jerry Sanduskyâs TSM was being used to traffic underage boys to wealthy donors took a major step forward via a July 19 interview with Greg Bucceroni, currently employed as a school police officer in the Philadelphia, Pa. school district while also volunteering with the District Attorneyâs office.
Bucceroni told this reporter, âIn 1979 and 1980âwhen I was 13 and 14 years oldâa well-connected pedophile named Edward Savitz took me on trips from Philadelphia to TSM fundraisers. I knew the minute I got there it was a breeding ground because of Savitzâs involvement. While [Jerry] Sandusky interacted with wealthy donors, the other men were sizing-up kids. I felt like a cheap whore because I was in these naked pictures that Savitz was passing around.â
When asked how certain he was in regard to these claims, Bucceroni replied, âIâm sure of it. Savitz talked about taking kids from Philly to TSM and introducing them to menâsoliciting them to âhis friends.â They exchanged and swapped kids like baseball cards. It was a feeding frenzy. I felt like a prostitute or a go-go dancer at a bachelor party. I felt dirty, used and cheap.â
When it came to TSMâs founder, Bucceroni didnât overplay what happened. âSavitz introduced me to Sandusky on two separate occasions, but he didnât come across like a pedophile. The other guys at these functions, though, were different. I could tell from their body language what they had in mind. When I met him, Jerry was a like a movie star. Everyone called him âCoach.â After Savitz hand-delivered my enrollment forms to him, Jerry grabbed me by the shoulderânot in a sexual wayâand said, âDonât worry, weâll take care of you.â Savitz told me that Jerry would take kids to football games.â
Sexually abused victims who testified at the Sandusky trial in Bellefonte, Pa. confirmed this point.
As questioning turned to other individuals at these get-togethers, Bucceroni remarked, âThey were obviously wealthyâlike doctors, attorneys, politicians and businessmenâand I could tell some were married from their wedding rings. But their body language gave away their intentions. On my second trip to TSM, I went with Savitz, another pedophile, and a boy my age. Savitz mingled with the other adults, discreetly showing them child porn pictures that heâd brought along. These are the kinds of places where guys from New York, Jersey and Pa. interact. Plus, with all the Penn State hoopla, TSM promoted itself as an alternative to jail or juvenile hall. They said it was the best thing since peanut butter and jelly. But Sandusky is just one in a handful of them. I hope you shine a light on this society of pedophiles.â
