who here was like "I wonder if we can get our legislation passed with a Dem President and a Dem Senate"?
And is now disillusioned a tiny bit because no fucking way could that ever have happened?
We get what we can get out of the situation. And we can get some stuff. The House can pass a bill, and then in 2 years in the 2024 elections, we can say "look, we did this, it's not law but if you like that law vote GOP and maybe we can get that for real."
The GOP House should be able to block certain things the Dems want to do.
We can find out what laws we might be able to pass in the future.
Generally, shit just gets worse, every single year.
